They had no pitchers left. None. It was the right move at that moment, unless he wanted to try a squeeze. I don't know why he took Wainright out so soon. Could have let him pitch the 8th, and the guy has good stuff. By taking him out, and then using 2 pitchers in the 8th, it ended up costing them. Rolen really let the team down, and they would have covered the run line if he didn't let it go right between his legs. Dusty was a much bigger idiot than LaRussa, letting Marshall hit in the 7th. I am with you hoshaylor ,I may be a fool but I am going with st louis again, the cubs send rausch and the cards have a much better pitcher this time than ponson,mark mulder. they get it done today!!!!!!
