Back in 90-91 or so, not sure of the year, but i was somewhere around 13-15 years old my dad and I won some tickets to the Cleveland Browns game vs. the Bengals. This is when the dog pound was the dog pound.

Needless to say, i will never do that shit again. i wore my bengals jacket, hat, gloves the whole gammit.

got beer cans, snow balls, all kinds of shit thrown at me, and hell, the bengals lost!

Guilty

Had bottles thrown at me in the parking lot, punched in the back of the head taking a leak during the game (let to a brief scrap that poured out of the bathroom) & various near brawls....and a constant shower of plastic beer bottles throughout the game.

Tell the story of when you went to the Ohio State bar with your entire bankroll on the Longhorns....

I've worn my Jeter jersey to Cleveland and Toronto on many occassions, but I think the Yankee faithful still have power in numbers on the road.

I always wear my Sox gear to the Stadium as well. In Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS (bloody sock game), my wife and I were decked out in our RED SOX gear and these two drunks harassed us for the first 7 innings. Finally, some old timer yankee fans had enough and asked the NYPD to remove the drunks. They ended up trying to fight the cops and were escorted out of their seats in head locks. I'll never forget the look on the dude's face as he was leaving in a headlock from a cop and I blew him a kiss goodbye. Good times.

Usually the yankee fans are pretty harmless. They mostly yell "Chowder" at you. The walk from your seats to your car does suck if your wearing Red Sox gear and the yankees win the game though.

I use to have season tickets for the Giants and I'd go to every game and root for the other side. (Cowboy fan.) I'd wear the other teams hat every game and be a wise-ass. It was all in fun and the other season ticket holder's were use to it and joked around.

Someone give their tickets away behind me to die hard Giants fans. The Giants blow a game to SF on a 40 yard bomb to Rice with about 30 seconds left. I'm jumping up and down when he's going in for the TD, the guy behind me starts choking me. I was turning blue as my brother is trying to pry his hands free.

Lucky for eveyone in this forum I survived. :103631605

I always wear my Steeler stuff to Cleveland. The fact Pittsburgh wins every time makes it easy.

My first Eagles game my pop took me to Eagles-Cowboys. I was about 11. We sat up in the 700 level of the Vet in a crowd of drunk wild savages (who i later modeled myself after). Within the first 5 minutes of a game I watched a dude take a full windup and chuck a full beer can (which he snuck in) at some bitch wearing a Dallas starter jacket. The beer came about 6 inches from fucking her up and making her tumble down the steps. instead it hit some big huge guy in the back and he didn't seem no really mind. At that point in my life i realized Eagles fans ruled.

In '93 i went to the Eagles-Lions wildcard playoff game at the Vet. I was in highschool at that time. I was instrumental in starting the "asshole....asshole" chant out in the parking lot while pointing to a 12-13 year old kid wearing a Barry Sanders jersey who was talking by. I felt good about myself.

But I also got to witness utter crazyness I could never fathom taking part in. Out in the parking lot they put in Port-o-Pottys for all the tailgaters. And a Lions fan went in one. I saw one Eagles fan shout out "Yo...a Lions fan just went in there!!!!" A group of dudes run up to it and start shaking it...back and forth...and tipped it the fuck over. They weren't mean enough to tip it over door down (or maybe they didn't think about it)...but i watched the Lions fan stumble out covered in shit and piss. Again...the Eagles fan started the "asshole...asshole.." chant.

While standing in the food line during halftime a Lions fan cut in line. Bad move. An Eagles fan pointed it out "hey...this Lions fan fucking cut in line"...well that's all it took....one guy sneaks him from behind. And then some other lunatic actually jumps up on the concession stand and while jumping off giving a flying elbow actually says "OFF THE TOP ROPE!!!" and gave the poor sucker a flying elbow to the top of the head.

This is all very true...and very awesome to witness as a 14 year old kid. Shit like this is why they had a court and jail in the Vet during Eagles games. The atmosphere has been toned down a little since the Eagles have moved to the Linc...but I still don't recommend rolling to Eagles games in non-Eagles gear.

haha- yeah I hear that...I found that on youtube.

I dont even wear my Yankees hat @ Fenway. One of the sunday night primetime games I went to between the sox/yanks...the people around me found out I was a Yankees fan...and they started to make a big deal about it.

Everything settled down when I told them I had money on the sox, lol- which was the truth.

Team gear is strictly for geeks and dorks. I think guys that have actually played sports on at least the college level have wearing a sports uniform in perspective enough to not have to rock some teams gear at the pub or stadium.

I'll wear my Leaf jersey in Vancouver, because Vancouver fans are pu$$ys anyways, but at most Leaf games in Vancouver there are enough loud drunk Leaf fans to make more noise than the nucks fans.
The cheers usually blend together sounding like "Go Leafs Suck"
