just going over some numbers this afternoon (I love number crunching) and this is kind of sad. I would say $10-20 an hour range would be a decent estimate(for me), kind of sad. But I do love this stuff and I am having a decnt year (up in the 7k range)

I wonder if Mickey D's is hiring?

After the past NFL season, I'd say I netted an average of ten cents an hour. After my good American Idol showing, I'd say I pushed that puppy up to about 16 cents an hour.

Take THAT!

I probably lose about $100 an hour factoring in lost opportunity costs when I could be working instead and billing out at $200 an hour....

LMFAO. It should be worded for me, how much do you lose an hour?

As usual everyone here is a winner and makes tons of money.

I believe Iceman's estimate is correct for me as well...between all of the time handicapping, placing wagers and watching games, but for a hobby I'm cool with it...

Takes me about 1 minute to gather up the "darts" and fling em to see which sides i will be on. Then about 2 mintues on the phone, and then about 1 mintue to check final scores. So about 3-4 mintues a day.
+1720 in the baseball as of this morning for 63 days with 185 plays, so thats about 3 hours total, so it figures out about almost 600 per hour.

Hows that? :puppy:

No chance Mickey D's pays 10-20 an hr...otherwise, you wouldn't see any teenagers or immgrants working there.

Considering gambling has occuppied my life on average about 18.3 hours a day for the past 15 or so years.............this thread is very depressing when I apply the math to this.

The best, and most honest post I have read this year.

Nice to see helicpopter Ben getting a plug here at RX.

FISH: I could work more hours, and get a greater total, but the hourly returns would diminish.

I choose to make my money during what have historically been my "peak" hours, and use the extra time in other ways...

Less total return, but the hours I don't spend "working" have an EV too
