Excel Help

Im a total newbie to excel so this is a pretty simple question if anyone could help me. I am trying to enter fractions in excel, but any time i enter fractions it automatically changes to the date for me... for ex if I enter 2/7 it will automatically changes it to 02-Jul.. anyone know how to fix this problem for me? I want to see fractions not the dates

Right click

format cells

fraction :dancefool

Select the cells you want to put dates in, right-click on one of those cells and choose "format cells". Click on "Date" and then choose which format you would like the date in.
