Lesson learned as the UMPS are starting to revert to form and my totals have been dead-on the last couple of days. 3-1 again last night after a 2-0 Friday. UMPS galore today, and most of these I bet last night while listening to my beloved Ball State Cardinals get annhiliated at the hands of College of Charleston, lol... Went 4-6 and blew 800, thanks in large part to the Red Sox. Now 97-130-5 and down 9171.

Since my sides have been so bad, just weaning off them and back to the totals, which should be strong from here until the break, and throwing the sides in my parlays. Occasional side bet solo but not many. If you see too many let me know lol...

Batista pitched a complete game against the Mets last time, allowing nine hits but holding the Mets to 0-for-15 with runners in scoring position in an impressive win. Sosa was extremely solid last time against LA. He went seven innings, allowing just three runs in the fourth. He had great command of his fastball and did not issue a walk. Last game for Zona in a 10-game roadie and you can be sure Mr. Eddings will help them get out of town. His record this year is less than stellar but that will change like it always does (26-51 last 3 years).

The play: ARI/ATL UNDER 9.5 -115 - 1610 to win 1400

Foster's strike percentage of 64.1 barely qualifies him into honorary club status in New York today. His 30-42 O/U record the last three years is more of a qualifier though (13-23 NL). He's done five of his last six Met 'U' and the UNDER is 3-1-1 in his last five Frisco. Morris hasn't been getting much run support and has struggled since his first two starts. Trachsel is 9-4 with a 2.56 ERA against Frisco lifetime. He beat them 1-0 in the Bay in his first start earlier this year.

The play: SFO/MET UNDER 9.5 -122 - 366 to win 300
UNDER 9 plus 105 - 300 to win 315

Another dream UNDER ump in Pittsburgh today and the weather should finally cooperate so that should make these guys want to get the HELL out of Dodge lol. Gorman strike percentage up over 64 and he's 28-48 the last three years (4-5-2 this year). Santos has been a pitcher in three Gorman games, all were unders. Now to the other reasons to like UNDER... Young looked like Cy Young the other night, holding the Rockies hitless into the 8th. He had a career-high eight strikeouts and had great commant throughout. He's had 8 of 11 quality starts. Santos has won back-to-back games (one scoreless inning on May 27 in the 18-inning job, then his best start of the year three days later).

The play: SDG/PIT UNDER 9 -109 - 872 to win 800

One more under due up, as Barrett and his 64.4 percent strikes ranks up near the top (his 7-5 record is a head-scratcher but he has been neutral in the past so that percentage will likely come down). Still, Ramirez has been solid if not unspectacular for the Reds in his last three starts, throwing strikes and limiting damage. He lost to Houston earlier this year, allowing three runs and just six hits in six innings. Oswalt was 15-0 against Cincy before his earlier loss at GABP this season, giving up three runs in six innings. He threw six shutout innings in STL last time, and threw 91 pitches before departing.

The play: CIN/HOU UNDER 9 -111 - 333 to win 300

With Cincy, Washington, Cubs, Florida, Toronto, Yanks all having won the first two of the series, the system players could be up against it today, as they'll certainly have tons of money in action on HOU, MIL, STL, COL, TAM and BAL.... could be a rough one, GL fellas...

Lean to CUB/STL over on struggling pitchers but Marquis has won his last four, by far the cheapest price this series for STL after they lost the first two as 2-to-1 and 5-to-2 faves. Pass.

Drake a slight 'over' in LA but Myers has eight straight quality starts for Philly and has been their most consistent guy all year. Sele is 3-0 with a 2.20 ERA and has had five quality starts since taking Odalis's place in the rotation. He made 112 pitches in six innings and gave up three runs to ATL... and that's been his WORST start of the year. Day game in LA with these two, can't go under but won't bite on other side either.

Lackey has pitched well lately, as he always seems to turn it on in the summer months. He's not won since April but he went eight innings and gave up just two runs on seven hits to the Twinkees, striking out seven and walking one. He gave Texas just one ER in his previous start. Sabathia went out and did not dominate the ChiSox last time but he can still make the pitches he needs to when he has to be successful. He went six innings, giving up 2 ER on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts. More impressively, he was 4-1 with a 1.20 ERA in May. Everitt behind the plate. His record is 8-4 this year and his last three have gone OVER but that's atypical for this guy, who is 34-41 since the start of 2004 even including this year. His last four CLE have gone UNDER and nine of his last 10 ANA have gone under. He's also done two Lackey games, both UNDERS. Let's try some fun late.

The play: ANA/CLE UNDER 8.5 -105 - 630 to win 600

Chacin is making just his second start since May 10; it showed vs. Boston last time out as he was a little wildness in his five innings of work. Toronto gives Chacin 7.75 runs of support in his starts, which leads baseball. Waechter is still winless after his five inning start in which he gave up five runs in Baltimore Tuesday. The pens are atrocious and Wegner's last three have gone OVER (strike percentage 61.0 for the season is low end of club status).

The play: TOR/TAM OVER 10.5 -108 - 648 to win 600

Redman getting his first start since May 19 and we'll have to see how he handles his first appearance back since being on bereavement leave. Washburn held one of baseball's best lineups to two runs and six hits in seven innings of a 2-0 loss to Texas on Monday. Only Teixiera's two-run homer plated runs that day. He's 6-2 with a 2.37 ERA vs. KC lifetime. Tim Welke has called six straight UNDERS and is reverting to form after a 5-0-1 OVER start (he's 31-44 since start of '04).

The play: KAN/SEA UNCER 9 -110 - 440 to win 400

Thanks doublepar....

Sorry for the late post here, as the Oswalt deal got me caught up lol...

Could not hold back on a side. Laying 110 on the Senators today after all this late money comes in de la Rosa.

I made it a lot higher. Visiting faves 13-4 going for the sweep, Armas owns the Brewers, and de la Rosa does not belong as a starter. Milwaukee reeling, Washington going the other way...

The play: Washington -110 - 440 to win 400

Late Oswalt scratch makes almost every bet VOID. I was able to get action on the UNDER because the game had just started and books are much more willing to give an UNDER bet than an OVER in the first inning...

THe new Houston/CIN bet - UNDER 10 -120 - 480 to win 400
