I took SD for the following reasons:

* MIL on 8 game losing streak at the hands of lowly WAS and PIT
* Starting pitchers have comparable season ERA's
* MIL batting just .238 against righties last 10 games
* SD batting .286 against lefties last 10
* MIL season bullpen ERA > 6.00 while SD bullpen EA right around 3.00
* I believe (I know I saw this somewhere but cannot find out where) MIL is worst in the majors in terms of runs allowed.
* Capuano got rocked by PIT his last start. Hensley held COL and STL to few runs and got wins against both in his last two outtings.

I am sure MIL is going to bust out of this losing streak sometime soon, but I am not going to take them at -140 (or whatever it is now) with all above listed factors. Just my insight on maybe some of the public perspective as to why the Pads have a chance today...

I took San Diego because they already beat Capuano once, they are a very good road team, Hensley dominates on the road and as seen by his last start against Pittsburgh I think Capuano was pitching a little over his head and is due for a rough stretch. This guy is not a sub 3 ERA pitcher like he was for the bulk of over a month. Then you factor in an 8 game losing skid and they will probably be without Jenkins (concussion) one of the few guys in the lineup that hits righties hard, I see good value here for San Diego. I got the game at +139 and now it is down to +134 it will probably continue to get down a little bit but +130-+135 for a good road team is tough to turn down in these circumstances.

never bet for or against any team that has won or lost 8 or more in a row...

just what I follow... too dangerous...to each his own...

I've seen a team that has lost 8 in a row beat a team while +270 etc...
sometimes a team is just gonna say ENOUGH!

kinda like the: " the most dangerous team in the N.F.L. is a team that hasn't won a game"...

I always play Streaks. Streaks are a Great way to play baseball, but NEVER try to Break one.

But in this case SD just looked much the best. Millwaukee mired in looseing streak and SD seems to play better on the road. One thing is for sure SD + money is Never a BAD play.
Who could lay the chalk with a team that has not won a game in almost 2 weeks, and lower ranked teams swept this Millwaukee team at home.
Sure the Streak will break someplace, but mabye Not today.
