Some players won't even consider laying anything more than 120 to 140 or so no matter what the circumstances are, while others have no problem laying -200 or more chalk if they feel the number is off. For example, if they feel the line should be -275 or so and the linesmakers open it as -215.

What is the most expensive chalk favorite you have played?

The biggest chalk I ever played in baseball was this year on the New York Yankees -330 vs Kansas City in New York's home opener. They were undefeated in the last 8 home openers or whatever it was and trailed by one or two runs going into the bottom of the 8th. Pretty sure the score was 7-5 or 7-6 KC headed to the bottom of the 8th. The Yankees ended up rallying to win the game 9-7 in a real sweater. That is the most expensive chalk line I've ever come across and very rarely ever see -300.

Doesn't sound crazy at all actually. I know some folks that bet dogs only in baseball and do very well. :103631605
