115-125 (-24.91 units) overall
system went down again. for the second day in a row i have lost both three unit plays. i am not giving up yet. keep in mind that when i started this goofy system that i was down over 40 units, so even though the past couple of days lost, i am still very happy with it. all year long i would win a couple of days in a row and think i knew what i was doing, only to follow it up with losing maybe 4 of the next 5 days. so those two days i lost were my winning days before. time to get back to my losing ways (winning ways with my new goofy system). lets try this again.
arizona -109 vs mets (3 units)..............baseball is a strange game. arizona goes to atlanta and sweeps a four game series. phils, who at the time were not playing that great, go to arizona and sweep a three game series. that just does not make any sense to me. now we have the mets who continue to keep on winning playing in arizona, and the mets are a dog to boot. how could you pass up the mets? call me crazy, go ahead, i know most of you think it right about now anyway, but i am on the diamondbacks today.
atlanta +105 vs houston (3 units)................my old way of thinking would be to jump all over the astros. how often do you get them at home at this price? not very often. pettitte at only 113, how can you go wrong. the braves have looked real sorry lately as well. astros just look too easy today. normally i would make houston and three unit play, but i know better now. atlanta probably pounds them.
washington -110 vs phillies (2 units)..............following in the same path with the rest of my plays, we have the phillies, who just swept a series in arizona, now playing the nationals who have been dissappointment this year. and now the phillies are a dog. how can you pass up the red hot phillies as a dog today? i don't know either, but i am. give me washington.
cubs +1.5 (+100) vs cincinnati (2 units).............hope this is not a mistake playing the runline. i did it with washington last night and did not need it, they won outright. you would think that taking the reds is just about A LOCK. they go into st louis and manhandle them, and now they come home with Arroyo pitching vs the pathetic cubs. sounds like you could almost put a million dollars on the reds. ok, i will take the reds for 100,000 units (just kidding). cubs have no shot, that is why i am taking them today.
baltimiore +1.5 (+116) vs toronto (1 unit)...............halladay is going to lose some games this year and it will probably be to teams that you don't think he will, like the orioles.
feel safer taking the runline and still getting it at plus 116.
milwaukee -131 vs san diego (1 unit).........milwaukee has come back down to earth after a pretty good start. they were almost unbeatable at home early. san diego has been playing better lately and now we can get them as a dog. all these dogs today, who appear to be the better team just sounds like easy money. you know it is not. i will take the brewers.
i have a really busy day friday, so i am probably going to post my friday plays sometime early this evening and i have will have to update my record on saturday morning when i post my plays for saturday.
i am leaving for jamaica next friday for a week. i am hoping to get my units down to under 10 by then.
