2PLAYS...that is not fair!!!! I am not high. Well...not very high. Well....let us leave this subject for tomorrow!!!

HOWEVER, four quarters of the dollar? Four quarters of basketball? Quarters are sensible!! Halves are sensible!! Three periods in hockey is somewhat sensible, but 9 innings? Wow? Where did nine come from?

Fishhead, your answer seems to fit the best! I will assume that it is a nice multiple of three that is more than six (too few) and less than twelve (too many.)

What I've always found amazing about the 90 ft professional diamond is these dimensions have stood the test of time...I mean you have balls hit to the infield and for the most part it is impossible to outrun any routine play on the infield...

The 90 foot distance was perfect over 100 yrs ago and is still perfect today.
