I was watching this the other day on ESPN Classic, and it was incredible. 4 guys left, 2 of them have about 1 million in chips, the other two have about 100,000. One of the short stacks goes out, so the other short stack is pumped, feeling like he won, because his winning just went from 120 grand for 4th place to 200 grand for 3rd place.
Later on, the guy is down to 50,000 in chips and doubles up with KJ to beat 10,10. I think this brought him to 106,000. The other two guys have 1.1 mil and 1.2 mil in chips. Next hand, one of the leaders raises to 35,000. He agonizes for 2 full minutes deciding what to do. He doesn't fold, he doesn't go all in. He calls. Calls! Then after the flop, the leader makes a 100,000 bet and he gets out. The other chip leader raises. Then on the turn, one goes all in, the other calls, and the shorter stack loses and is done! The 100,000 chip guy gets second and wins $400K instead of $200K. Unbelieveable, and it was fun to watch since I had no idea who won in 1993.
