A's out in front early 2-0 as a +200+ dog off a Frank Thomas 2 run 2 out homer. See if this one can hold up.

The A's are going to need at least 5 to have a chance in this game when all is said and done. Probably a lot more than that.

Saarloos has been threw the lineup now and these hitters are about to start teeing off.

I understand it is the American League, but why don't the A's sacrifice bunt when Scutaro is up? The leadoff hitter gets on with an error...Scutaro is horrible...just sacrifice him over into scoring position. This team already struggles to score runs. Just move him over.

Probably because Scutaro was going to double down the left field line...DUH.

4-2...I don't like the look of this.

The Yankees will be getting their 3rd look of the day on Saarloos and this lineup is deadly. The A's bullpen is banged up and guys are pitching in roles they are not use to because of the injuries.

The A's are going to need to score some more runs if they plan on winning this bad boy. I don't think 4 runs is enough.

I think 4 should be enough here for the A's win as the Yankees are struggling at the plate. Hope so anyway.

Heading to the 7th...Saarloos has pitched a great game. I was worried he was about to give up a big inning there with 2 outs giving up the single, stolen base, then walk...that was a huge out to get Cano.

The part that worries me is the A's have to get through the meat of the Yankee order at least 1 (probably 2) more times. Doing that with a beat up bullpen is SCARY.

Yes that was huge to get out of that inning unscathed as it was clear Sarloos was running out of gas. Lets hope Oakland's bullpen can hold the fort down here for 3 more innings.

Seems like Oakland is trying to give up more runs. They aren't going to the pen they bring in their 5th starter who pretty much is signing free passes.

Chavez really is struggling...if he could get a hit, this team sure would be a lot better. 3 more K's today.

DAMN IT! I hope that doesn't come back to haunt us...we could have used a couple more runs right there.

Here comes the beef for the Yankees. Big inning right here. We need to get out of this inning quick so we don't face this part of the order again. If they get a couple hits or walks, we will be facing the top of the order to start the 9th.
