Interesting matchup. Only the winner has a chance to advance to stage 2. Australia with some decent results in the last weeks (1-1 @Netherlands, Australia was down to 10 men). On the other hand Japan got a draw @Germany (2-2). Kaiserslautern is packed with thousands of Aussies today. They should get a great support today. Having in mind the Confed and how Australia played I will take Australia pk and over 2.

The game is getting more and more interesting. Some Japanese officials accused the Australians of playing too hard (3 dutch players were injured during the match between Australia and the Netherlands). Sounded like the Australians were pretty mad about that. It will definitely be a hard match.
The group consists of Brasil, Croatia, Australia and Japan. Brasil and Croatia should advance. That means that the loser of this match can definitly book his next holiday trip.

The argument against Video replay on the grounds it stops what is essentially a free-moving Game is reasonable, but considering how many times a Goal is scored in a Match, surely getting the right discision is in everyones interest. Imagine that Goal being given in the Final, there would be uproar.:drink:

Wow, what a monumental collapse over the last 10 minutes of the game. Japs might be packing their bags after this one.
