Greatest College FB team of all time?

Have had some long debates with some friends about this and just wondering what your take is... It's quite obvious to me, but I want to see if anyone agrees with them.

Oh, and if somebody mentions the '94 Nittany Lions I might puke... Herbstreit seems to believe they are better than the '95 Huskers

You could make a case for some of the recent champions - Texas, USC, Miami. Those were some pretty damn good teams.

The pure athleticism has changed so much I think you would have to take the most recent teams. Athletes are bigger, faster, and stronger than they were in past eras.

Anybody that doesn't have '76 Pitt team at or near top doesn't know college football. Got under the wire before scholarship limits. Depth of older teams was much better than more recent teams do to the first 95 and now 85 scholarship limits.
