Thanks maybe I will start a daily thread on this idea. I will use Bucs, Jimmy K and Micelli or TN.SportSavant said:yes I was iceman.... Bucs/Jman/Choptalk....
the mutual fund crashed, I wanted to keep it up, but with all these contests.... I was finding I just didnt have the time to keep it up.... currently I am running & grading a bunch of them, along with my other obligations I just didnt have the time
cklennon said:The problem with doing that, Iceman, is that a lot of times the winnings cancel each other out. I did this for a while in other sports as a sort of side bet to see if I could do better tailing than I could capping...basically you are increasing your variance while keeping your expected return about equal to if you are simply following one capper. The swings will be enormous but in the end it should end up around the same as if you just followed one.
The problem really comes down to the fact that in order to win on a given day every capper you're following has to be in the black, which rarely happens if you're following 2-4 and they all have different plays. And if they are all in the red for a day you get slaughtered. I was seeing 15+ unit swings from day to day on a fairly regular basis.
Iceman said:Thanks for the input but I do not agree with your logic. If they cancel each other out than that is fine. I don't understand your logic.
I am a firm beleiver (not like others) that you must put a good 15-20 plays a day into action at very small amounts less than 1% of total br. I bet similar to this during colleg hoops and had some big days and bad ones but in the end the more money bet the more money won. I understand all the math behind this.
I will go into greater detail in the thread I will start but am stillw orking out the kinks on this. i think it gives me the best chance to succeed in the everyday grind of bases with putting in the least time at it.
