Ghana vs. Italy game in Thread

I do not surprise if Ghana beats Italy.

Ghana has great chance to beat Italy.

They are fast and great passing team.

I am on 0.5 unit on Ghana. (why 0.5 unit? :missingte because.. it is Italy...)

Don't like Ghana b/c they beat Korea..

However, Ghana is a great team.
Africa team will have upset today !

My prediction Italy -0.5

Im on Ghana here as well. Took them weeks ago :toast:

Ghana has some decent players with Essien, Addo, Kuffour and some others. Is this enough for getting a result against Italy? I don`t think so. The italian def is way to strong. In the attack they have Toni who played the season of his life for Fiorentina. I guess we will the a pretty slow game here. Both sides will try to avoid a loss but at some point Italy will score one and take the points.

BetJamaica has the under 2.5 @ -158 which seems to be the cheapest even when compared to Pinny & Mansion

The problem - as usual with African teams could be their goalie and if he had a good day. The guy plays for Ankaraspor in Turkey. Funny: He has even the turkish citizenship and his turkish name is Farok Gursoy. He even wasn`t a member of the team during the African Cup of Nations. He has not played for Ghana since 2003.
I am not sure if this guy is the one to trust for under 2.5.

One can not go wrong taking teams like Ghana-- young & hungry w/ nothing to lose(no major expectations) against staid powerhouses relying on their reputations-- who, having major expectations & possibly looking ahead, do not put out the effort & risk-taking their foes will-- esp. the players not at 100%-- and here those teams with name players in the big international leagues are often at a fitness disadvantage vs a lean mean African team for several reasons:
African team players not nursing as many nicks & bruises from league play, may be fitter for maybe training at better altitudes and/or worse climates, don't have fitness questions re living the good life in the party circuit...

Big-name team after big-name team gets scares in intial game, WC after WC...at least in the first half for most...can't go wrong w/ taking the higher odds.

I don't think much of the cohesiveness & team play of this edition of the Italian team to boot....

Italy with some great chances so far but cannot put one in. They're putting a lot of pressure inside the goal box. Just seems like a matter of time before they finish one.
