Anyone else think this whole BoS situation is a way for the BoS family to scare off..

bonus whores? I believe they want clients who are going to be around for a while, and why they offer generous bonuses, they don't want to be taken advantage of, so they are making their point, and sticking to it.

I am not siding with the book. I admit, I scalp and many here, including some mods have confessed to scalping too. I don't think that is the problem.

The problem arises when they see a pattern of 2K deposit, 50% bonus, 3K bet, loss, or win and it is repeated. It specifically states in their rules that no professionals. And yes, I think there are professional bonus whores out there and I am not pointing fingers, but the patterns from the first case look to be just that.

I caculated and he has taken over 15K in bonuses, and they kept under 4K of that. If he is a bonus whore, he made off like a pig.

Anyways, I'm not sying what they did was right, and yes, why not close his account while he was losing, easliy a pattern could have been picked up. But hey, he may just be a whale, I'd love to see his betting pattern, if there was casino play or what not.

Anways, I honestly think, as bad is it may be, they are trying to send a point across that, that type of play is not welcome. In doing so, they are stickig to their guns, and not letting up, probably wanting to deter future players looking to take advantage of their generous bonuses.

AGain, we dont have the whole story, and BoS or Artie could be withholding information that would make this case a clear cut and dry.

In any event, if the book is trying to deter this type of play, they are doing a good job at it. It scared me away from scalping there for sure.

NO DOUBT in my mind, that the intent is to let everyone know if you are coming to BOS to scalp out a bonus, your business is not wanted.

Thought that as soon as I read the complaint.

I HAVE ANOTHER THEORY. He uses doug's dog/bonus method. Betting fav's at his normal book. Hoping the bonus (40%) DOG book loses.

depo 3K plus 1200 4200 on clev +180 lose (would pay 7560)

bet 7560 mon NYY at -200 pays 3780. Hope that wins and makes 780 risk free.

If the 7560 bet loses. He has it in an account at BOS.

THIS IS WHY HIS PLAYS WERE ON DOGS As I recall.

great system you look like a loser to book (BOS), the other one has no clue as no bonuses given out there.

40% makes Dougs system doable and quite profitable.

Another book ussportsbook stopped letting you bet large dogs on their 100 for 100 promo.

ALSO another strike to the player is that he bet it ALL at one time. If BOS changed a rule that say only 25% of the bonus could be used at a time (or say only 100 max bonus per play) that would have prevented this too.

Bigbet---For better or worse......thats precisely what I personally believe they are doing and stated this a couple days ago.

However, this is pure speculation on my part.

Personally, if one of the main reasons for me signing up with a book is to collect a generous bonus and/or to test run them by following their rules as to their rollover ........and say I go on to lose my entire balance..............I would never come back the immedieate following day, the next week, and certainly not the sameday to take advantage of the same bonus as I feel they may think for a better term that Im nothing more than just a "bonus whore" and am trying to take advantage of them is some way, shape, or form.

I have an idea. Just don't offer the riduclous bonuses, that is asking for trouble. And if you do, and you see a pattern over a few days, show them the DOOR INSTANTLY, none of this deposit 23K then when you win, your outta here.

If you are making 2-4K deposits more than 2-3 times a week and collecting a 40% bonus......uh.....either you are made of money with a serious gambling problem, or you a.......

Did it ever occur they(and other books) may offer huge bonuses(40%+) to "sniff" out a few players?

Not relating this to any of the current BOS situations, but sometimes gamblers allow GREED to overwelm them.........seen it time and time again in various gambling outlets/ventures.

Any book that has a 40% bonus is asking for trouble...and it seems like they want to take those huge deposits hopeing that they have a loser that will continue to feed them $$ because of the Bonus. But once you show signs of winning they have very vague rules so that they can just take that $$ and say that you are betting w/ a Syndicate or a sharp player. IMO this book WILL suffer from the bad publicity...it has to...JMO
