No im not asking you for what side everyone is on. Quick question if you don't mind what are people saying about the Costa Rica team down there heading into tomorrow's game. Do you think they will put up a fight or just lay down and quit.

Why would a team quit when they can still advance
with a couple wins, or even possibly with 4 points?

Even if they were eliminated these are professionals
and they can play a spoiler role while having a shot
at at least beating someone, or not being shut out
for the tourney.

Everyone here is hoping.....with Poland losing, hopes are up that the team can do something tomorrow....paper boasting about how Ecuadors coach said something about him being worried about Wanchope....

crap like that.

The team still sucks but they know their WC lives depend on this game....

Also, at this level, no one quits and dies. One goal might mean you get picked up by a team in Spain, Italy, etc etc...

To answer your question if Ecuador goes down 1-0 Costa Rica can easily roll over since a tie isn't going to do anything for them due to there 4-2 trashing it will make it very hard for them to advance to the second round due to goals for and goals against. Plus they would still need to be Poland which isn't a sure thing by along shot. Many teams have quit in the final game of the World Cup.

Nothing to do with fixing atleast im not going to do go there. Many of these players esp players on European teams have played for 10 months straight leading into this World Cup and now that there isn't much to play for a player may not be be focused or bring there "A" to the pitch that game.

As for Costa Rica ive already said what is there mind state going into the game if there down 1-0 thus facing an uphill battle to climb in order to make it to the second round are they going to fold. Slim gave me a point I didn't think about concering trying to get a job in Europe so maybe they won't

For most players, the WC is the only opportunity to be seen by everyone, including talent scouts...
