My most outrageous story was a MIDDLE I thought I was getting in NCAAF last year....
-1.5 vs +3.0
I put 3K on each side......
LO AND BEHOLD, I accidentally the first wager placed was accidentally a FIRST HALF WAGER & the second was a FULL GAME wager, what a huge mistake.
they both won.
(ive got several stories that went the other way aswell)

Yeah a few times. More than anything though I have been caught with one side of a scalp, especially when I was starting out, bet the hot side but still not be able to execute the other side. One I remember in particular was accidently betting a game 3 minutes after it started, went in fine though at one side but not the other. LOL. When those games win you feel like a champ. And oh yes, had to eat a few along the way that did not make it home. Those mistakes hurt, one screw up will more than ruin your week.
When I was in high school, I had one game left on a 5-game parlay for $800 when I noticed my last game was accidentally opposite -- I meant to bet the Oilers/Capitals game Under but my ticket said 'Over'.
I hedged and bet $600 with my local on the Under (which I was what I wanted in the first place), and the game of course came in as an Over. I only won $200. Should not have mucked with my ticket, I guess, but who knew?
