I might be knee jerking it a bit, but what I have seen of the W.C. so far, Argentina appears flawless. :toast:

PPeter,
As always, nice to see you post, My big concern on here is precisely your sort of post. If this was NFL or NBA, you would be very critical of square posts, but because its a minority Sport on here then a Soccer Bet thats absolutely nonsense is not a problem. A poster today actually posted the equivailent of saying the Defence would suffer becauce of the Exclusion of a Jerry Rice.
Its great that the are Yanks getting into Soccer and posters wanting to post picks but lets not let your considerable reputation Die on a Square Play. :103631605

So, what shop currently has the best odds on ARGENTINA?

Fish,
Your post that maybe Argentina would be a lay next time showed your true colours and proved to me that you really are a smart Bettor. The fact that you now ask for Odds on Argentina says that you have your RX Hat on. I think People on here would like you to see a real Fishhead, opinionated with no regard to consequences, just down to Earth selections. Who cares if your wrong, as long as your truthfull. Jman deserves a lot of credit for his posting of picks, maybe some of you other Mods should step up to the Breach. :drink:

+500 is a great prop, I'd jump on that too.

That said, I hope Argentina isn't peaking too soon in this tourney. Their competition in the 2 games sucked, and frankly their dominance over those chumps isn't going to be too helpful in preparing them for the tough, closer matches to come.

In any event, anyone with $$ on Argentina right now would surely rather see them clean their opponents' clocks instead of winning tight ones, and Argentina is a perennial contender every WC anyway, so clearly your money is in good hands... GL

Winbet lets be honest the World Cup offers little in the way of value for dogs winning the cup on a future. An occasional upset in the final (France vs Brazil), but even then, France was 2nd to only Argentina and Brazil as a pre cup odds on favorite and always a top squad that wins it, outside Brazil, England, Germany, Italy, and Argentina: who can win it this year? Sure Argentina mihgt be a nice lay next match, but that alone would not make the future a "square" bet

Of the 5 contenders Argentina has looked the best.

I would offer one word of caution regarding anyone getting overly excited about Argentina's chances based strictly on their easy victory today.... They haven't played anyone yet ! It's like beating the KC Royals.... so what ! How good are they really ? A lot tougher path lies ahead ! However if I saw the 7/1 anywhere... I would jump on it ! 5/1 looks tempting !

The time to place that bet was before the WC started. Lot of squares seeing what you saw the first 2 games

What were the odds on them coming into the WC?

I posted that Argentina was a good bet to win it all at 7-1 PRIOR to the whoopin they put on S & M yesterday. their odds have been slashed to 7/2 or 4/1 in some places. i love Agrentina and think they have an excellent chance to win. I took them at 7-1 and think that represents value.

Just because Winbet insists you are a dumb fuck for jumping an outstanding team playing at the top of their game doesn't necessarily mean that you are.

I didnt call PPeter a Dumb Fuck, all I'm pointing out is that there is no value in taking a third of the original odds because they beat up a team that they were -144 to do so.
I hope they qualify in 1st place, then they dont meet England until the Final. Then if The Bargies get there they will meet a real World Class Team.:drink::drink:
