Is he the real deal ? I see he had one great start. Was that just a fluke or is he a rising star.

Looked awesome vs the Reds, then again that team is finally starting to show their true colors..would use this start as a real trail to see how good he is.

In no way, shape, or form would i put money ON the Cubs though, its on Detroit or nobody

I wouldn't be scared to put it on the Cubs Saturday. He was throwing in the mid-90's vs Cinci. Detroit has never seen him either. Weather is expected to be hot with wind blowing out.

IMO marmol is the best Sp the cubs have called up this year and i stated that before his last start. I like him more than guzman or hill. marmol isnt real tall but has great arm action on his pitches and hides the ball decenlty which will certainly help him his first time around the league. At west Tenn he posted a very dominating 67/42 K/HA ratio. marmol is a pitched that can reach back and get a K on his FB or breaking stuff which means he has the ability to get himself out of jams should he allow a couple hits in an inning or let someone on with a free pass.
in AA he only averaged about 5 innings a start which means today we shouldnt look to see him go anything over 6 innings. so when you are capping this one make sure to cap the CHC pen in with your selection for about 3.0-4.0 innings of work.
wind blowing out today.
