I love interleague play and we have a few more days of it coming up!! Plays range from 1 star to 5 stars. Good luck!

1. Boston -150 3 stars with Cormier conditional

Not sure of the line here, but as long as it is below -170, then Boston has to be the selection here!! This will Cormier first start of his career and will come on short notice. He was just notified today that he will start! The Braves are 3-15 in their last 18 games! Now Beckett for Boston is not rolling great this year, but I am playing this game strickly on the Braves current situation.

2. Detroit -145 4 stars with Verlander conditional
Cubs have lost 5 games in a row and looked very bad in the process!! Now the Cubs face a tough Detroit team that has won 6 out of 7 games.
Cubs have a relative newcomer on the hill in Marmol. Marmol is having a good start going 1-0 with a 1.50 era as a starter. His overall WHIP is .90. That is a great number actually. That will play into my next pick though.
Detroit has Verlander on the Hill. He is 7-4 for the season with an outstanding ERA of 3.32. More importantly, the team is actually 9-4 in his starts this season. This one will be easy and over by the 5th inning!

3. Detroit under
Not sure of the line here at the present time, but as long as it is above a total of 10 runs or more, then I am TEDDY BALLGAME on the under!! Reasons are above

4. San Francisco -143 3 stars with Schmidt conditional
I am not real high on San Francisco as a team, but with this primetime pitcher, I have to roll with them.
Schmidt is 6-2 for the season with an outstanding 2.46 era. He has a WHIP of 1.05 for the season. By the way, if you do not know what WHIP is, then you need to quit gambling! In his last 5 starts, he is 3-0 with an ERA of 1.25.
Meanwhile, Meche for Seattle is only 6-4 with an era of 4.46.
This would be a 5 star game with almost ANY OTHER pitcher for Seattle on the hill, but Meche can be scary at times.

5. White Sox -133 3 stars with Contreras Conditional
I hate to take so many favorites, but this one looks like stealing. Contreras for the White Sox is 7-0 for the season with a remarkable ERA of 2.62. The White Sox have won 9 out of their last 13 games.
Meanwhile, the Reds are going in the opposite direction by losing 6 out of their last 7 games.

6. Tampa Bay -105 2 stars with Kazmir and Mathieson conditional
Well the world must be coming to an end, I am actually betting on Tamp Bay to win a game!! But this looks like a GREAT SPOT!!
Philadelphia has a pitcher making his MAJOR LEAGUE debut in this spot! Mathieson alone would make one want to bet against the Phillies. But the Phillies have lost 5 games in a row and 7 out of their last 8 games have been lost.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has their newly crowned ACE ON THE HILL!! Kazmir is on the mound and he is 7-4 for the season with an ERA of 3.38. The team actually has a record of 9-5 when Kazmir is on the hill and that is pretty damn good for a shitty DRAY team!!

7. Mets -1.5 runs -115 3 stars with Martinez conditional
On paper, this seems like the best bet of the day, BY FAR!! But I am a little worried about taking the hometeam at the runline since at times, the Mets dont score for Pedro.
Martinez has a an overall record of 6-2 with an era of 2.94. Mets have won 8 out of their last 9 games. Clearly, the Mets will win in this spot. And the runline looks pretty good as well since of those 8 wins, only 1 of them was by 1 run.

Other promising leans include: Cleveland, and I LOVEEE White Sox under as well. I like Houston under 10 runs and will bet it myself.

really like detroit and t.bay, little scared of boston, mets and w.sox, don't quite understand the line in the w.sox game. i may be "over" analyzing it though? the mets have not done well in pedro's last few starts as i have been against them and cashed, baltimore should have a good read on him but what do i know?

Detroit under is a GREAT PLAY!! The total is much higher than the 9.5 runs that I said I needed to take it under. It is at 11.5 runs
