on your person at one time? Was thinking about when I had a hot roll a few years ago at a casino and walked out with 20,400 including my bankroll. I was alone and very nervous about that much cash on me driving long way home. I know that's nothing to some of you but at that time it was huge for me. Of course we have all had checks much larger I'm sure. If I had mace on me like that Philadelphia dude I'm sure I wouldn't have worried. :uzi:

I cashed one of my GTE Paychecks it was like 4G. I signed it over to a friend so he could cash it for me. I think I gave him 20 bucks for it. Loaded up my wallet with 100's and 20's. I could barely fold the thing over.

Just a stupid kid who doesnt know what to do with his loot.

Couple good runs in Vegas and I was very uncomfortable walking around, well for what I can remember of it.

It's not having the cash on me that worries me, it is drinking too much and waking up saying, where did all this loot come from.

True story, a few years back had a hell of a run at the blackjack table. Remember climbing into the tub to try and sober up, only to wake up with the bath tub overflowing and benjamins all over the place. Thank god, for the most part, those days are over.

20 grand 50 grand?

Do you guys not understand you might as well be called illegal, cops will do whatever necessary to get you on something to get some of that money. I would shed a lot of tears if I got pulled over or mugged.

About 25K after hitting 50% of a twin-tri (that I picked) and then putting a friend up in a $200 late super play that we hit for the whole pool (that he picked - we split around 12K). This was around 1991.

Also in Vegas, all the money floating around isnt just from winning at the Casino. Most of the time the people who carry that much money around are famous people who already have money or drug lords who launder money.

Are you supposed to declare anything over $10K for any flight, or is that just international?

LOL!!! Hahahhaahaha. That's funny.

One time I had $6,500 or so on me leaving a casino. I felt AWFUL and very very paranoid as I went out to my truck at 3 a.m. or so. I did not like it one bit and looking back the amount wasn't a life changing amount. I could not begin to imagine carrying 20, 40 or 50K. That would make me a nervous wreck. tulsa

That's the problem for me. Quite often I'm leaving in middle of night with maybe a few drinks in me and just walking to the parking lot made me nervous. I'm sure we have all seen those certain people that seem to lurk in a casino when they see someone on a big roll.

Lander,

Whether you walk, drive, fly or tunnel into the US it's the law that anything over $10,000 must be declared... and that includes checks also. I believe the law uses the term cash or financial instrument.

Not illegal at all unless you don't declare you are carrying over 10K.

Isn't a credit card a financial instrument but they aren't included? It has to be cash or equivalents.

Woody,

Credit cards don't count but cashiers checks, travelers checks, money orders, etc do.
