Is anyone having a good month betting bases?

myself, slowly pissing away all of my early season profits. Everywhere I look guys are struggling. Poker King Jim is a poster who I have watched from a distance that seems to be having a good month ( I could be wrong) :103631605

and Tommorrow's Newspaper is always consistent. Other than that don't notice a EVERYDAY poster having a good month.

I was down about 10 units to start off and then got it all back and then this last month have been hovering just over profitable. RX's first MLB Handicapping Challenge champ is unfortunately pedestrian so far.

Hardest sport to win money at......too many games.....too many variables.....too many things to take into consideration on a daily basis......I admire guys that stick with their program, but I am nearing burnout. I havent seen anyone around here that has had a winning month.

Im up about 12 units for the month - about 57 for the season. And that is betting nearly all 1 unit plays with maybe a couple 2 unit plays per week - All in the tracking forum. Much of my success comes from playing dog runlines - Scored on the O's today -1.5 +350. I dont know why people are afraid to lay that 1.5 especially on dogs that usually wont win the game anyways. If I had bet the ML on all of my bets this year instead of the runlines my bottom line would be nowhere NEAR as good. Yea you will lose some games due to that one run but the extra profit you make is well worth it. Now this doesnt mean bet every runline - you have to pick your spots.

My capping style is what one would call "value" betting though I would argue that every bet anybody makes is a value bet in their mind or they wouldnt make it.

Its definitely a grind Publicsmoney. Im already burnt out on it myself and Ive had an outstanding season. Much prefer capping hoops and foots to bases. I am going to take a week or two break sometime soon - I dont think I have missed a day of betting yet this season. Watched a hell of a lot of it too and am ready for some meaningful September baseball

dogs: 5-2 +5.42 units
alt runlines: 1-3 -1.18 units

mlb dogs overall: 94-79 +49.25 units
mlb alt run lines overall: 8-11 +8.90 units

If this being posted is a problem feel free to delete it or move it. If it is not a problem and you will say it is not I will post some of my stuff here or not, whatever.

I've been having a great year, maybe stupid luck since so many people are having bad years. Actually it looks like quite a few people are doing well, its just some big names are having crap years...I mean come on, people complaining and losing get 100 replies and 500 looks and a lot of people who post winners don't even get a glance, maybe look around.
I get a lot of insight from reading many peoples posts, but I don't follow anyone other than myself, its sickening watching people bitch about losses from following someone. Its my money so i'm not going to trust anyones picks, like I said great for info and reading but at the end of the day you are putting the pick in, so its your pick.
I dug a huge hole taking Nova over Fla, then UCLA over Fla, won all that back and plenty more, not to say i have not had crap days, went 3-10 last Saturday, but that was my dumbass fault for betting 13 games in one day.

tomorrows newspaper went 0-5 thursday night, I know that. And he didn't do so well friday I don't think either.

Plus this month, I'm not sure...I know May was absolutely brutal for me. I made a lot of just really bad picks. I did just finish my best week of the year gaining 12.17 units, including a 7-1 day, which moved me from almost -30 down to -13. The big thing is sustaining these positive weeks and turning them into a month which I'm honestly not sure if I can do right now but it is fun trying win or lose. I don't really bet enough on baseball to where it would really bother me if I lost my ass so it's just pure enjoyment.

I am an incredibly superstituous person so even mentioning my good week probably means this upcoming one will be a total bust.

I've had some pretty good success playing about 15 plays a week. I think so many people are losing because they don't give the linesmakers enough credit. Many of the lines are sharp and right where they should be, but some guys insist on playing 10 games a day. Just my opinion, but I'm very selective in all sports.

We had like 20-30 people posting their plays and back in the day "THE RECORD KEEPER" would tally up the standings. All plays were for 1 unit for the contest so no 100 unit plays and that stuff. All I did to win was come in first. If I did the same thing nowadays I'd win a $5000 account somewhere or something cool.

Got beaten pretty badly in the first 2 months, but am now kicking ass in June.

I attribute the bad start to Laziness on my part as I was distracted from really capping due to studying.

APRIL: 77-96, -24.08
MAY: 25-31, -7.36
JUNE: 30-31, +8.28
OVERALL: 126-152, -23.16
YESTERDAY: 12-5, +18.04

Add to that, today: 15-8, +16.56
Finally focused, and have the formula rippin and roarin. Also playing a lot more volume now. I estimate I'll play 60% of the remaining games on the schedule (sides n totals).

Is anyone having a good month betting bases?
