thx fellas, i hope to really contribute something over the next few weeks.. feel as though things are back to normal..

Ive had the most succees (in my gambling career, and this includes all sports) in playing the short home favorites... there were a few opportunities today.. here was my short list..

Cinn (-1.17) ----- in this, you get the home team, a very good starter, but i ultimately laid off cincy for 2 reasons.. they are a better road team than home team and they are playing the champs.. decided to pass..

Tex (-1.15)----- but like the reds, texas is better on road, and Loe has sucked, and the pitching matchup heavily favors the AZ team.. ill pass here as well..

LAA (-1.47)---- price is a little steep and Colon is making first start back.. Ill pass but think they win..

Oak (-1.37)--- this is the only other game that made sense.. 9 straight wins for a redhot team.. would have loved to have taken them but decided to pass and go with seattle instead..

Also passing on all road favorites, although a few will win... got to start having some strict rules set in place (talking to myself guys)... would have also loved to have taken carpenter and glavine but the price is way too high for me (another of my rules, that i will be adhering too).. would have taken a hot florida team but i absolutely refuse to bet against the #1 pitcher in the game in Doc Halladay"..

This leaves me with seattle and Jamie Moyer.. Moyer has been outstanding, the bats are getting hot and ive never cared for Jamey Wright, although he can be adequate.. Seattle 11-5 over last 16 and 5-0 in interleague, gets my money today..

best of luck, sorry for rambling..

That is good stuff...agree with all your reasoning. I think too many players are just all over the place in picking their plays. Everybody would do better by playing fewer games in any sport and that means developing some criteria to limit the games you have to handicapp. I have Oakland as my game today by the way. Your Seattle play is a good one but it didn't fit into my particular criteria.

thx ar...

seattle comes thru with the big win.. handicapping will do ok.. ga tech chokes on what would have been a big day, and for that matter so did australia..

still a nice day.. maybe UNC can pull out a win..

be back tomorrow..

at first glance for monday, nothing is jumping off the screen.. no way to bet against athletics, as they are on one of their runs.. maybe we can find something..
