Why would anyone bet on him, on his first start is the question

He has to play his first MLB sometime
I hope you didn't expect him to be stellar in his first appearance

Thanks, but I did bet and post Detroit today.

Hopefully, I dont jinx a 6-0 1st inning lead.

As WGN came on the air, they showed Prior warming up in the bullpen and he looked very frustrated. It appeared he was cursing to himself and was looking frustrated that he couldn't get his arm loose.

I hurriedly put a bet in on the OVER as I felt both teams would hit with the wind blowing out, but didn't think Prior would look THIS BAD. He can't get it over the plate unless he's serving up the fastball.

Feel like a fool for not going ahead and betting Det, too. But, hindsight is 20/20 and I do like my chances on this OVER (no whammies, no whammies)

Was the right Prior on the mound? Hearing reports that was Richard Pryor who snuck on the field.

Might be, he DID get "lit up" pretty good in that 1st inning :missingte

That error on the sac bunt attempt didn't help him either

The cubs are such a pathetic organization, but that conversation is neither here nor there.

Prior is settling down quite a bit from the horrific 1st inning start. Cant get a hold of where the breaking ball lands. That will be corrected shortly I would think. Fastball 91 I think, that needs work. I mean the Tigers are first place in their division and have the best record in baseball and it's June 18th. To the people who think they have overachieved, so be it, but I will be willing to bet a lot of money they overachieve deep into September...

V.Wilson just homered off of Prior

It's now 8-1...

It seems somebody in Cubs management cough cough Hendry wanted to throw Prior out there just to throw him out there. Ready or not...

J.Jones at the track in right field slipped right before he caught a ball.. It drizzled earlier...

But it has got to be one of the few highlights Cub fans look up to...

Prior giving up 6 runs in the first inning back from the DL, against the Tigers, and with the wind blowing out at Wrigley is not as bad as Pettite giving up 4 runs in the 6th inning, against the Royals, and at home.
