fuck that! He could not hit his driver all day. Not a choke at all, just should not have hit driver there.

It wasnt THAT bad. Course was extremely difficult and it punished mistakes. Phil made a few at the worst time. If Van de Velde was a 10 on the choking scale, this was a 3

The real life Tin Cup choke job. All he had to do was play it safe. I feel so bad for the guy. Two majors in a row and a second place is still better than 99 percent of all golfers.

Agreed. I thought Monty choked as bad or worse. He had a simple shot from the fairway.

Monte might even be a bigger choke. In the fairway, perfect position on 18. A par wins it. A bogey gets him a playoff. The goof double bogey's.

Have to agree that Jean Van de Velde's collapse when leading by 3 strokes heading into the 72nd hole of the British Open leads the pack of all majors blown.
