Boston Red Sox Bullpen

I think one of the more popular wagers while scouring the forums today was the Boston Red Sox over the Atlanta Braves. Now with both Schilling and Smoltz throwing for their respective teams, unless Red Sox bettors were counting on Schilling going the distance, what could they have been thinking when they wagered their hard earned cash? Surely and I mean surely they weren't counting on the Boston pigpen. I mean it's no secret that the Boston pigpen is the absolute shit and sure enough, they produced as scheduled in coughing up a 3-2 Red Sox lead to allow the Braves to go ahead 5-3 in the 7th inning. As I said, what could the numerous Bosox bettors have been possibly thinking? :icon_conf

As bad as Boston's bullpen is the Braves bullpen is twice as bad that is what I bet most bettors took into consideration

No it certainly didn't. Had I known the b.s. it would magnetize, I wouldn't have initiated it in the first place. :nopityA:

This was a stupid post, but it is a legit thought that was expressed too soon. Outside of Papelbon the Red Sox's bullpen is garbage. Relying on Seanz, Lopez (CHW didn't have a spot for him and there pen is questionable too), Delacarmen?, Timlin just got back from injury and looked like a 4 o'clock BP pitcher out there. When I lay money on Boston I'm well aware and extremely nervous when there middle relief clowns come in. When Papelbon comes in though it's automatic! *knock on wood*. On a side note how ridiculous is it that when Papelbon throws a scoreless inning his ERA doesn't even go down anymore. 0.25 this guy could have one of the best seasons of any pitcher, ever.

Hey genius - if I was an attention hog, wouldn't I have more than 80 posts in a year???

On top of that, you reference my quote, which was "did this really need another thread?", and say that I know squat about baseball??? My quote had nothing to do with baseball. How could you determine from the sentence above that I know nothing about baseball???

You must just be a troll, because you can't be this retarded.
