It looks like a strong BIG APPLE card today as you will see below!
1. New York Mets -118 - 4 stars
Love the Mets today. They have been on a tear lately, winning 9 out of their last 11 games and 8 of those games were on the ROAD! This game is at home to help us out as well. Meanwhile, the Reds have been playing atrocious lately! The Reds just finished a 10 games homestand where they went 2-8. And 7 of those games were against subpar teams, Cubs and Brewers. Again, these were HOME GAMES and they got shelled!
Now this game should have odds of the Mets around -180 or so, if it wasnt for the fact that the best pitcher on the Reds is on the hill. But even he shouldnt be able to pull all of the slack for this struggling team. Mets in a blowout here!
2. New York Yankees -116 4 stars with Johnson AND Myers conditional
Johnson is appealing his suspension so he can pitch in this game. He will drop the appeal after this game and begin a 5 game suspension. But he looked real good in his last start. He pitched 6 strong innings while only giving up 1 run. More importantly, he didnt walk a SINGLE batter! HE will do an about face this year and end the year on a tear in my opinion. His velocity is down, but hopefully his control will make up for it. The Phillies are currently in a freefall, losing 5 out of their last 6 games. 2 of those games were against the WEAK Devil Rays. In his last 2 start, Brett Myers has been ROCKED for the Phillies giving up 6 runs in 2.2 innings in his last start and giving up 6 runs in 3.0 innings on June 9th.
Against the potent Yankee lineup, he wont make it out of the 5th inning. Yankees win this one by 4 runs.
Make sure and list pitchers on BOTH sides in this matchup!
3. Detroit Tigers -124 with Bonderman conditional 4 stars
This pick is all about Jeremy Bonderman. He has been on fire on the hill over his last 3 starts. He has an era of 2.08 in his last 3 starts. In his last start, he went 8 complete innings while only giving up 1 run. He already has one shutout this year and pitcher another game where he went 8 scoreless innings. He has only has one real bad outing all year. If you throw out that one game, his era would drop cloe to one full point! Well he is back on track now!!
Also, the Tigers just KILLED the Cubs this past weekend on the road! While, I still do not feel that the Tigers ARE THE REAL DEAL, the are the deal at the moment. They will fade late in the second half, but stay the course until then!!

It all has to do with Snyder on the mound for Boston. He looked like a class a pitcher in his first outing. Also, the Boston bull pen was used AND ABUSED today so they will be tired tomorrow. They even had to play in the late game, so that wont help either!
SO Washington is a nice play today as well.
I just noticed that I said early game. Well for some reason, I looked at it wrong and thought that the Mets was an early game. Only early game is the Diamondbacks.
