I'm rooting for the Mavs but if they don't win I always have the consolation that Cuban won't win. I even kind of like the guy. But he whines too much.

Hard to feel too bad for a billionaire who seems to own everything and gets to watch basketball almost everyday.

I can see why he's not liked , he did take over this Dallas team that was on the brink of extinction and made them a contender for years to come and will probably win a few NBA titles...one of the best entrepreneurs in the world

Even my Dad who doesnt follow pro basketball closely at all. He told me yesterday "I heard that Dallas would have the series lead if this Cuban guy was'nt always running his mouth."

He is great for the league in my opinion. Very passionate about wanting to win. I would love to have a guy like that running the Clippers.

The whining gets old and I think it is more of an act for him now to live up to his antics...but he really wants to win and I love an owner that is not just there to make a buck. He is pursuing a championship.

I think it would be awesome if he were ever able to buy the Chicago Cubs like he has been trying to do for years. That franchise would love him.

Actually I would love to see the Mavs win. Does he complain yes, but hey he's only exposing the NBA for what it is.

The NBA product has been getting worse and worse as far as the officiating goes and can sometimes become maddening even to watch.

MC, keep doing your thing.

I have to say I like both these points. Like him or hate 'em, at the end of the day he has a very dynamic personality that helps the sport.

He would do the same for baseball. You dont hear much about MLB owners ther than Stieny unless they are making dumb transactions. Steiny/Cuban WS anyone ?

Bottom line: any fan would want Cuban to own their team. All he cares about is winning, and will do literally anything to make that happen. That's all you can ask for from an owner.

And I agree with that other guy, a lot of times he just calls out the NBA's BS when no one else will.

NBA officiating and NFL pass interference are 2 things that make watching the sports pretty frustrating these days.

He does have the tendency of whining too much but he gives his all as a owner. By the way, great album selection Ironman_8! :103631605

Amen, Cub fans would give their left nut to have Cuban running the show. Do you people have such short memories to not remember how pathetic the Mavs were before Cuban made them a contender?

How can anyone NOT like him?

Every owner should be like him...oh my god, he voices his opinion...how tragic? lol c'mon.

He's a success at everything he does, INCLUDING the Mavs - sells out every game & is in the NBA Finals. Do you guys remember where this team was when he took it over? Good god, the franchise was as miserable as an team in pro sports.

Also, trading Robert Trailer for Dirk kind of worked out as well. How many new owners' first moves are as quality as that one?

He's a sharp guy.

Wasn't his story: He wanted to hear the audio of the basketball games of his alumni on the internet, so he created "Real Player" and then eventually sold it to Yahoo. After he sold it to them, shorted the stock and made double his money.

Yeah- i beleive he is college drop out...owned a bar at like 21 yrs old...wanted to listen to IU basketball online...so he dedicated his life 100% to reading computer programming books. Anybody who has attempted to read one page from computer programming books, understands how friggen difficult that is. He said he never left his room, read hours upon hours until he learned enough to develop the technology.

I beleive broadcast.com went public first, then he sold it to yahoo for around $4 billion...I could be wrong, but thats my understanding.
