Another decent day yesterday, going 4-2 and winning 988. Now at 140-168-6 and down 3122 on the year. Maybe after another good day or two..... though not liking much today. Seems like for every reason to like a side, there's a reason not to.

I don't have any idea who decided to make Soler a 2-plus dollar favorite against the Reds, I don't care who is pitching, even Joe Mays. Mays will get his chance to possibly earn a permanent spot in the rotation with Claussen on the DL. He will be making his first career start against the Mets. Soler threw 101 pitches in a six inning stint in Baltimore last time out. He's too young to be expected to do that on a regular basis.

The play: Cincinnati plus 193 - 400 to win 772

They're going to continue to use ridiculous prices with the Marlins, I'll continue to bet them. Nolasco has good stuff. The rookie is 3-2 with a 2.52 ERA (10 earned runs in 35 2/3 innings) and has now logged three straight quality starts, and continues to show composure and the ability to work deeper into games. He comes off seven strong innings in a win over the Braves, giving up one run on five hits in seven innings, striking out five. Bedard was going through a 1-5 skid before winning his last start but he has only worked five innings or less four of his last six starts.

THe play: Florida plus 130 - 400 to win 520

CUB/CLE always tough to go over with these two big hosses pitching. But, gotta do it today. Crawford back there (12.73 rpg, 10-4 record, 61.4 percent strikes). Zambrano threw 107 pitches last time, and said his arm felt "heavy" after the game. That's probably because he had thrown 126 pitches in his two previous starts. Sabathia threw 111 pitches in six innings after yielding four in the first to the Beermen.

The play: CUB/CLE OVER 8 plus 101 - 500 to win 505

Webb going into his usual June swoon. Not interested in taking with Shields either, though. But Angel Hernandez is calling the game and that usually means runs, especially with these two guys and their current form.

The play: ARI/TAM OVER 8.5 plus 101 - 500 to win 505

STL/ChiSox a recipe for lots of offense, as evidenced last night. These two pitchers aren't setting the world on fire. Marquez yields 10.36 rpg.

The play: STL/CWS OVER 9.5 -109 - 545 to win 500

Cook has certainly deserved better for Colorado but tonight he meets yet another tough cookie in Barry Zito. Two losses aren't going to have me running for cover just yet, as this guy is the streak-breaker in June. In the southpaw's last outing he tied a career high with 11 strikeouts against the Dodgers. Macha said it was the best start he had seen from Zito all year. He is on a six-game winning streak, and on Friday he held the Dodgers to three runs on eight hits and didn't walk a batter.

THe play: Oakland -115 - 575 to win 500

Lean to the Dodgers tonight but Seattle is 7-0 in Interleague and the Dodgers aren't hitting well right now period, let alone against lefties, whom they usually struggle more against. Pass.

That'll do. GL all...
