Typical up and down rollercoaster last night. Get Oakland a win in extra innings, get the Cub OVER taken away due to rain, get Phillips to bail out the Red pen and beat Wagner and Mets... All in all, earlier this year, I was losing two out of three decisions like that nightly, now I'm winning two out of three or something close to it... Moral is easy here, just keep doing your work and things will eventually turn around - and rather quickly if you look for value with the dogs like I do, haha.... Went 3-2 after they wiped out my Cub total, and won 872 last night. Now 143-170-6 and down 2250 for the year...
A thought: If Oil of Olay Soler can be a 215 favorite over Joe Mays and Pedro can be a 230 or so favorite over Eric Milton, does that mean they think Mays sucks that bad, or Milton or Soler is that good? Doesn't make any sense to me. If Soler is 160 or so like he should have been, then you make Pedro 230. But if Soler if 215, then you have to make Pedro like 280 in my mind. Of course, they prolly realize yesterday they just made a mistake. Thankfully, they had to pay for it.
Going with Kazmir today as the Rays have been blistering the NL and the Snakes have lost 14 of 16. Now they sent out Edgar Gonzalez, a guy who pitched an inning the other night in AAA before they told him he was called up. The righty is looking for his first win since Sept. 7, 2003. Overall, he is just 2-10 with a 8.58 ERA in 20 games, including 12 starts. Kazmir struck out nine Phillies last time and lowered his ERA to 3.39. He'll be in the All-Star game.
The play: Tampa -1.5 runs plus 125 - 400 to win 500
Back with some others later on.... GO USA....
