40 DIME

Rockies

10 DIME

Tigers

Blue Jays

Colorado

In his last start, Jeff Francis was rocked by the Cardinals to the tune of 6 runs over 6 innings but if you really dissect that start, you will see 2 bad pitches to Juan Encarnacion. You take away those two bad pitches and you will see it wasn't as bad a start as the numbers would lead you to believe. Now he is back in the friendly confines of Coors, where he is 3-0 his last 3 starts with an era of 1.89. Looking further, he is 2-0 in Interleague play at home as well. Koronka did pitch well his last start but you can't get away from the fact he was 0-3 with an era of 7.18. Coors is not the place to be with numbers like that and my 40 Dime winner is on the Rockies in a bust out game at home. Francis rebounds and rebounds well. All Rockies

Tigers

I am going to ride this team. After watching how badly the Cardinals played at the White Sox, my money is on Verlander and the hometeam. I know Carpenter is pitching well but if your team can't score, it does not matter how well you pitch. The Tigers are 7-2 versus the National league and their starting pitching has posted an era of 1.87 during this run. You add the fact that the Cardinals have a 5.94 ERA in June and this is the perfect spot to hammer the Tigers. Detroit is the play tonight.

Blue Jays

You ever hear the saying, "Living on borrowed time"? Well, that is exactly what Tommy Glavine has been doing and his time is up now. He is 10-2 with an era of 3.48 on the year but if you look just a little closer you will see 14 runs his last 15 innings and even though hs is 5-1 on the road, his road era is 5.15. If not for the run support this guy has been getting, he could very well be 6-6. Numbers don't lie. In both his starts at Toronto, his era is 7.71. He is facing a Blue Jays offense that leads the major leagues with a .331 batting average. I wouldn't be suprised if Glavine isn't gone by the 5th inning tonight. Jump on the offensive Blue Jays to rough up Glavine tonight.
