College IN GAME Thread - UNC vs. OSU

Everything that can go wrong for OSU has gone wrong. They get rare base runners, and hit into double plays, and get picked off first. Their scoring opportunities will be rare, and it was important for this team, who is playing off momentum, to get on the board 1st.

Then Buck gets the 1st 2 out, and with 2 outs nobody on, gives up 2 runs and gets out of a jam.

Now his sinker looks good, everyone is swinging on top of it. He needs to keep them close.

OSU coming up to bat now...

C-Lo, unfortunately I'm going for OSU. All futures bets that I made before Omaha started.

Buck looks outstanding.

Sinker is really working. I think almost every out has been a strikeout or groundout. UNC is having a hard time elevating balls in the gap, homeruns, etc, which is what they are great at. Buck is holding them at bay, and that ball is getting good sink, UNC is over the top of everything.

Miller on the other hand isnt getting that across-the-body movement that he usually gets. His ball looks flat. He's backing off velocity to get better control, but hes throwing in the low 90's. Every now and then he'll hump up to 96, 97 MPH and it sails on him.

Tight game, and a great baseball game. 2-1.

If you want to see a pure baseball game, a classic pitcher's duel, you should turn to the College World Series.

You have 1 guy who is dominant in Miller. Another guy who gets groundballs. 3 more last inning.

You will see bunting, hitting and running, stolen bases, real strategy in these games, sacrificing, which is what baseball is all about.

I agree, so far it is a great game. Very enjoyable for anyone who loves good baseball.

I was hoping for a really good pitcher's duel, as I have a small wager on under 9. I also have a small wager on Oregon St +1.5. So far so good on those two. Now we just need a Beaver home run with a guy on board, and everything will be just perfect.

I agree C-Lo. When your kids get a little older and you want to teach them the game, college is how it's done. Not the one handed, big league stuff in MLB.
