Example:

The Chinchillas and the Hedgehogs have a game to play on Tuesday
They also have a game to play on Wednesday...

The Tuesday game is rained out.....

The next day for game #1 at 3:00pm listed pitchers are Johnny vs. Gino
The pitchers for game #2 at 8:00pm listed pitchers are Luigi vs. Mario

The two teams end up DIRECTLY swapping their pitching lineups from Game #1 to Game #2.....So...Listed on your betting ticket you have the incorrect starters for the game listed, but you have the proper pitching matchup for the 2nd game in the doubleheader

Does your wager stand, or is it Canceled

I believe the game being rained out automatically cancels your bet. Doesn't matter if they reschedule next day or 2 months from now. Game must be played same day or no bet from my experiences.

ZZZSpeedster have you been ZZZMOKING the ganja again?

Your wager would be nixed. If the pitching changes for the particular game and time (game 1 in this case at 12:05 p.m. eastern) then it will be a scratch if you have listed pitchers.

No....

You bet the game overnight AFTER they made it a doubleheader for the next day......

The question is:

Does it matter that it says GAME 1 with the listed pitchers, instead of GAME 2 with the listed pitchers

Keith is correct.

Please read the scenario

You wager on the game AFTER it has been rained out that day.....

The listed pitchers are simply moved from GAME 1....to GAME 2.....If your ticket says GAME 1 with the listed pitchers at 3:00pm......but they end up BOTH pitching GAME 2 at 8:00pm.....Is that enough to NULLIFY your ticket???????????????????

Games always have to go on the day listed. Pretty much a standard rule. If you bet the game and it was listed for the following day, your bet would stand. If it was still listed for the day of the rain out, it would be canceled.

I think we are still confused........

The point of the game being canceled the day before, is to signify that there is a DOUBLEHEADER the next day....

You wagered on one of the doubleheader games...THE NIGHT BEFORE.....You did not WAGER ON THE GAME THE DAY IT WAS CANCELED

The question is......If you list pitchers....and your ticket says GAME 1 3:00PM.....but those EXACT SAME PITCHERS LISTED...pitch GAME 2 at 8:00pm INSTEAD.....Is that enough to CANCEL your WAGER for the game you wagered on in the doubleheader........

We are talking NOTHING ABOUT the day before....You wagered on the game...AFTER IT HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK TO THE DOUBLEHEADER

My guess is that the wager is void. Look at it as if there was no doubleheader--you had a ticket for a game and the listed pitchers did not go. I say it gets cancelled.

I think it should count. Not sure about other shops.

I need some feedback.....I'm going to take the information with me to war

Thanks

I think the game should COUNT....You had the two teams listed, the two pitchers listed....the only difference is they pitched the second game of the doubleheader.....it happened the same day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just says GAME 1 and the GAME 1 time...instead of GAME 2.....:nohead:

Z, doubt if there is any set rule on this. I would use common sense. You got the game with those pitchers so it should go. However books do not always use common sense. Good luck.

It should NOTcount... think about it from a rotation perspective... If you had a ticket on game 1... rotation #901... how can that ticket apply to game 2 ...rotation #921??

I would say it is cancelled - Too much difference based upon being the second game in a double header
Pitchers theoreticaly should be the same but the line could be affected based on team play in the first game. Pitchers are definately the most significant factor in deciding a line. Although Team play is a consideration.A book or Vegas is not going to take a chance they will cancell the wager and reset the line.

This exact scenario happened with a Phillies/Tigers game in 2004. They were scheduled to play Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon. I bet the Phillies for Thursday with listed pitchers before the Wednesday game started, and I bet it on both 5dimes and Pinnacle. The Wednesday game ended up getting rained out, and rescheduled as part of a day/night doubleheader on Thursday. Both pitchers from the original Thursday afternoon game were switched to the Thursday night game.

5dimes voided my wager and left it voided. Pinnacle originally voided my wager, so I went ahead and rebet the game since I thought I no longer had action. I checked again while the game was in progress, and it was still voided. After the game, which the Tigers won, they "unvoided" my wager, which really pissed me off because 1) that left me with double the amount I wanted to risk on the Phillies (who were like a -170 chalk ) and 2) they waited until the result was known to decide I had action again. I complained but they just cited their rule about how games just had to go that same day and said the original void was a mistake.

Everyone always says how Pinnacle is a top notch book, but I felt like they really took a shot at me on that game.
