The most commonly misspelled word on Internet sports message boards is definitely. Most people, for some odd reason, spell it definately.

I have seen separate misspelled quite frequently as well (seperate).

I always remembered it as "There is a rat in separate."

The inapproriate use of an apostrophe in a possessive "it's" has got to be the all time leader.

I agree with that. Alot of people see an "s" on the end of a word and automatically put in an apostrophe. Even on team names, i.e. Yankee's, Tiger's, etc., which I do not get.

Definately is definately spelled d-e-f-i-n-a-t-e-l-y.

The most common mistakes I see are their.....there...and they're.
