Minnesota Twins have went 13-1 and have gained next to nothing on Det and Chi!

How about in the Wild Card standings?

Well since both these teams would be ahead of the Twins in the same division that would not matter.

Tell ya one thing...the Cardinals (as well as the whole National League) is praying til Interleague play is over.

The AL Central is putting a serious beating on the '2nd best team' in the National League.'

Against the AL Central, STL is 0-7...run count: 27 to 65...and to cap it off, whining that the reason they lost to ChiSox was 'stealing signs' LOL

I have to say, if you bet on baseball and are NOT making money right now on Detroit, Chicago and Minnesota, you should quit. Detroit especially, they have been dealt LOW lines the entire time, thinking back to just the cubs series at Wrigley, the lines were pathetically low and i have bet on them every single game, they haven't dissapointed yet, and i don't expect them to tonight either, -120 at HOME vs probably the most over hyped pitcher in MLB history (Clemens won't go more than 5 or 6 innings).

Good Luck!

Gotta Love Pittsburgh's schedule, 3 vs thw White Sox, then 3 vs Detroit LOL

Twins (14-1)

Det (15-2)

Chi (12-2)

Still 10 back the Twins are approaching the records of 3 division leaders, and with the pair of Lefty Aces, I would not be surprised if they ended up with a better record than 2-3 of the division winners....Liriano is incredible!

With Det and Chi perhaps the best two teams in MLB still above them by 10 games , the Twins will have to watch the post season.

All 3 once again win by more than a run tonight, killing the NL!

The past 39 wins by these 3 teams have combined to go 35-4 by more than 1 run...since these teams have lost very rarely that is an amazing stat covering the 1.5. 35-4 when they win they have combined to cover the 1.5.

Nice to see some love for Liriano. Santana is still great (Not quite where he was a year ago), Liriano is on fire. Justin MOrneau is starting to figure it out and may be the first Twin to park 30 hrs since Kent Hrbek in '87 (?), but the most exciting part of what the Twinkies are expeciencing is the maturation of catcher Joe Mauer. I'm not sure I would take any other cather right now over him. 23 years old, switch hitter, leads the majors with .386, hit's to all fields, disciplined, catches Santana, Radke, Liriano et al. Mauer is amazing.

They have dealt low lines on Detroit because they are accurate lines. Detorit is doing it with mirrors. Not anywhere near as good a club as they have played so far.

winning with mirrors would mean getting lucky or winning alot of close games, which has not been the case.

They have the highest run differntial in basebal, best team ERA, close to or highest HR's in baseball (too lazy to look), best road record, and have had the bet record in baseball most of the season.

Yeah they have been lucky, WTF do you want them to do.

most good teams make their own luck, they don't run over the entire field, they get breaks, like in anything, talented teams makes their own luck ...and baseball is especially this way...I really believe Detroit will be around all year they have too many good arms not to be.

it's unfortunate that liriano wasnt in the starting lineup all year, they could have had 4 or 5 more wins than they do now, it would be a whole different race, as it is i dont see detroit or chicago fading, they both have a good hitting lineup and each have 4 good pitchers

The dilemma now is what to do with Torii Hunter, as some of you know that live here. Hunter would be very attractive to a few teams heading into the pennant drive, and $12 million is just too much to give him in the coming years. He is a great character guy and the face of the club, and IMO the best center fielder in the game. However, he will probably never hit much more than .260-.270 for the remainder of his career and will probably never hit 30 HR's. With Kirby gone now, it would be nice to keep him, but realistically, I assume the best thing for the club is to get a couple more prospects and save the $12 million for a power hitter or another great arm next season. I have to think Hunter will end up in NY or Texas this season, if both stick close enough to the division lead.

Didn't say they have got lucky did I? I said they are doing it with mirrors. The talent level on this team is not near as good as how they have played so far. If you think it is you are just simply another RX homer that has his vision clouded. Obivously I am correct as Vegas isn't inflating the lines on them. Tell me you aren't another one of these guys that thinks the past is indicitive of the future. If you are going to be a successful gambler you have to be able to project what will happen without being clouded by the past.
