Trace Adams 1000* - Mets w/Soler, 500*s - Seattle w/Washburn, Oakland w/Zito The Red Sox have to lose sometime, and with the Mets coming to town in what could possibly be a World Series preview, I like Willie Randolph's team to draw first blood in this interleague series.

Boston has won their last 9, and are due for a setback. Tonight's starter Lester has won his last 2 starts, but holding down Washington and Atlanta won't be the same as holding down this Mets' attack.

New York can slug with the best of them, and tonight I expect them to slug Lester to the bench by the 5th inning of play.

Mets starter Soler has been unable to win at Shea so far, but on the highway he is 2-0 with a scant ERA of 0.56. New York does bring a 25-13 road mark into Fenway Park tonight, and I like them in the slight dog role to come through.

1000♦ - Mets w/Soler

Great value with Seattle, as the Mariners have won their last pair, and 7 of their last 9, while the Diamondbacks continue to slide, as they just snapped a 5-game losing streak, and are 2-8 their last 10 times on the field. For the month of June, Arizona has endured a 7-game slide, and a pair of 5-game slides!

Starter Brandon Webb has hit a bump in the road as well, as Webb is winless over his last 5 starts. Sure, Jarrod Washburn hasn't done much on the road this season, but the way the Diamondbacks are skidding, there is absolutely no way you can justify laying this kind of wood with Webb.

Ichiro sets the table and the M's come through with a nice underdog win for us tonight.

500♦ - Seattle w/Washburn

I will ride Barry Zito once again, as the A's have been good to me when Zito has taken the mound this year.

Zito is off a no-decision his last time out in Colorado, but pitched quite effectively working 7 frames of 1 earned run ball. For the year, Zito is 5-1 on the road. The A's are above .500 for the year on the road while the Padres have dipped below the break-even mark in their home digs at 19-21.

Oakland is familiar with Chris Young from his days in a Texas uniform, and I have a feeling the value tonight rests with the visitors from Oak-town.

Take the A's to dump the Good Fathers!

500♦ - Oakland w/Zito
