Well, hard work does pay off, finally got myself into the black. Went 5-7 and won 719 Saturday (thank you Oakland and Street for that royal screwing in the ninth that cost me the side and the Oak/over parlay)... And Sunday also had a good day, went 6-2 and won 2156. Now sitting at 160-185-6 and up 112 grocery dollars on the year. Hard work to get out of the red when you're five-figures deep, but the underdogs had to start winning sometimes didn't they? hehehe

OK onto tonight's card...

Playing Zambrano and the Chubs in the NL game. The price might be a tad ridiculous considering they've lost eight straight at Wrigley but with Lee back in the lineup I see them being the better side in this spot. Zambrano is 5-0 with a 1.56 ERA in his last eight starts following a Cub loss. His ERA against MIL has been below 1 in four of his last five starts. Not gonna lay the price but willing to see Cubs snap out of offensive funk on RL.

THe play: Cubs -1.5 runs plus 115 - 500 to win 575

Price looks relatively cheap on Lester tonight considering how solid he's been in his first few starts. Not a big Soler fan, and the Red Sox have been tougher than nails at home.

The play: Boston -130 - 650 to win 500

Boston -1.5 plus 151 - 300 to win 453

Ortiz was horrible last time but who is Burnett to be 2-plus dollar fave in his second start off the rack. ERA's are high and OVER looks good here; not too many UNDER umps out there so I went ahead and took a stab.

THe plays: Washington plus 190 - 400 to win 760

2teams - Wash plus 190/OVER 10 -105 - 300 to win 1,398.57

Lowe is 5-0 with a 2.23 ERA in his last seven starts. He's coming off his first complete game of the season, a seven-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks Thursday in a 4-2 win over Seattle. Realize Liriano is headed for great things but this price is ridiculous.

THe play: Dodgers plus 157 - 500 to win 785

Lean to Washburn and M's tonight against suddenly-struggling Webb but looking to take at least 145, gotta pass for now.

Can't believe they made Zito a dog against Young. Yes, Pads have been playing good ball as of late but this is still Oakland in June. Zito has won his last six decisions (6-0 last eight starts) and A's have won 13 of 16. Young threw 127 pitches last time in just 5 2/3 innings in Arlington. San Diego has lost three of its last four.

The play: Oaktown -102 - 1020 to win 1000

Cook was outstanding against Zito at Coors Field last time. He gave up four hits and one run in eight innings. Cook has 46 strikeouts to 25 walks, and 183 groundouts to 69 flyouts this season. Meanwhile, everyone wants to berate Jeff Weaver, but he has allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his last seven starts. Runge behind the plate, a decided UNDER ump.

The play: COL/ANA UNDER 8.5 -110 - 440 to win 400

GL all...
