I will ride this kid tonight. He can tie Kenny Rogers for the AL Lead with 10 wins by getting one tonight. The D'rays are 11-5 when he pitches and he has never felt better than he does now. His last 2 road starts he has allowed 2 runs over 10 innings going 1-0 with an era of 1.80. I just feel Ricky Nolasco has to be near perfect to beat Kazmir, who last time he faced the Marlins he beat them 3-0 on a 3 hitter over 8 innings striking out 11. I don't think Ricky can. Marlins are no match for him again as the D'rays roll.
Rockies
Man did they let one slip away last night. Jennings took a 3 hit shutout into the 8th were a single and a walk to start the inning for the Angels opened the flood gates and doomed Mr.Jennings. Tonight is more about going against Jeff Weaver than going with Cook. I just have this sneaky feeling Weaver gets hammered by the Rockies tonight. Down the road I think it will be his younger brother that replaces him in the rotation. I mean, the younger Weaver won all 4 of his starts before heading back down to the minors. Look for the Rockies to score early and often against Weaver. Rockies are the play.
Mets
I am sorry, but I don't see the Red Sox winning their 10th in a row against the Mets. Soler has been unhittable on the road going 2-0. Soler threw seven innings of one-run ball with seven strikeouts and one walk in a 4-1 victory over the Dodgers on June 5, and followed that up with the best start of his career, a two-hitter for a 5-0 win at Arizona on June 10. I feel he will be on the money tonight. I know Lester has pitched well but the Mets are the play here at a great price. Red Sox magic ends tonight.
