Would YOU make a good Coach or Manager of a Pro or College team??

I know many of us played sports and some very competetively, if you could coach or manage a pro sport which would it be?

I know 98% of us think we're smarter than Dusty Baker by the amount of "Fire Dusty" threads :missingte

My dream job would either be a MLB manager or an NFL offensive coordinator...with the MLB manager being the better fit.

I really believe there are tens of thousands of baseball minds who could manage a MLB team....instead of the same 30 regurgitated Larry Bowa's :icon_conf

Baseball is the one sport where statistics factor in to a very high percentage of managerial decisions...Earl Weaver was one of if not the first manager who managed this way with his inex cards battr vs pitcher trends etc.

Anyone have big time managing or coaching experience?

I would suck as a coach since it would drive me crazy when a player screws up the smallest thing. A GM I think I could swing that without giving me too much credit. I asked a question once here if you could any hire RX poster as a GM for your team who would it be not including you. That post didn't go over very well.

But as a GM it would make you more mad when they screwed up because you would be directly in charge of contracts.

No because If I was a coach i'd take it out right away on the player. As a GM I would be able to cool off since im not on the sidelines.

I would coach Ice Hockey maybe not NHL level but at some level

and think I could do OK

I'd love to coach a college basketball team, or a MLB club. Pretty sure I could handle either job well...although the amount of travel and nonstop recruiting and stuff that goes on in CBB might be a little too intense.

Certainly i would..If my team came a GREAT big chalk, i would tell ALL my Rx brothers to take the Doggiee, and low an behold it would get there !!

My dream job and I know i would do it well, would be to GM the KC Royals. Just no way to get into the industry.

I would make a much better GM or Director of Player personel. Drafting and Trading.

After I realized I didnt quite have the athletic ability to make it to the NFL, I wanted to be a football coach. I am sure it is tougher than it looks, but you see mistake after mistake by coaches every Sunday in the NFL

No way .. My expectations would be too high .

I would actually expect my players to give effort every game..

I coached my 10 year old daughter's basketball team last year. It was fun but tough ...

I cant coach but I think I can gm.

I can fill in for the Raptors tonight. I would choose Rudy G@Y, headcase but loaded with talent to be on the level of Wade.
