Spider-Man 3 has 4 Villains!

Producer Avi Arad (A day before leaving Marvel to persue an independant career) took the time to give a short interview with iFMagazine. What was discused? Well, besides a little bit of info on the black costume shown in the current poster, Arad did reveal that there will actually be 4 villains in the upcoming "Spider-Man 3". So far Venom, Sandman, and Green Goblin have been confirmed, but Arad was unable to announce the 4th officially.

"Right we have four villains. Pretty soon [we’ll reveal the fourth villain] I believe. Maybe around Comic Con we’ll reveal something and the madness will begin."

I believe that right now the common fan rumor is that the 4th villain will likely be The Lizard aka Dr. Conners due to being featured during a short scene in "Spider-Man 2" and mentioned briefly in "Spider-Man". But how is this for a confirmation? Please take note of the IMDB listing for "Spider-Man 3". Near the top of the cast list you will find Dylan Baker credited as "Curt Conners Ph.D/ The Lizard"

I'm guessing the secret's out on this one.

Edit: Since this article was first written up, IMDB has removed Dylan Baker from the listed credits all together. My suspicions are that this was done to avoid the confirmation of The Lizard as the 4th villain, but it could have possibly also been just a red-herring. We'll keep you posted.

Yes, TG. So dumb to spend 2 hours centered around getting 1 villan that really is'nt even that powerful.

Well, the spiderman movies are awesome. But the concept of getting 1 guy pissed off at the world crap was getting tired.

I cant get over how much the new guy looks like Christoper Reeve. Word has it that he had the job before his interview. He worked a ton of odds and end jobs before landing this colassal gig. Good for the noob.

that's one of the critics i read online is the fact he acts too much like reeve as well therefore he doesnt re invent superman, rather just re creates what we already knew...in comparison to batman which gave a new feel to the character that was already in the public eye

What do you think is the best Batman movie?

Has to be close between returns or begins. I lean on begins.

In any event, Batman movie franchise > Superman movie franchise.

So true. We were always used to seeing Michael play these silly goofy roles like in 'Mr.Mom' or 'Multiplicity' he tottaly nailed that Batman spot though. Would have never guessed he could do something like that.

The thing about Batman. He has limitations and you can relate to him more. He is actually human. He uses his head and his gadgets and his money to solve problems.

Superman, there is just nothing holding him back. Every superman movie is just about you exploring his powers and his trying to adapt to being on earth or can he beat out the clock.

Batman Begins was one ass kicking great time and word now is that the sequel is coming to theatres in June, 2008. Crikeys that is one hell of a long wait for a movie! According to Cinematical, Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face is going to be in the sequel, and is also signed for the sequel after that. Two-Face was a great character and I have high hopes that it works out well! They also say both movies will film back to back which means the 3rd one won't be coming in 2080.

According to IMDB Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Harvey Dent in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel. I loved Batman Begins for FINALLY doing Batman right and am stoked to get a sequel. Paul Bethany is reportedly going to also play the Joker.

In Batman Begins 2, Batman and Harvey Dent tag team to take on the Joker. I am excited, are you excited?

Paul Reubens playing Joker in Batman Begins Sequel?

Ah yes, nothing like an idiotic casting rumor. G4 Tech TV posted up that Paul Reubens was going to be playing the joker in the upcoming Batman Begins. Now I should probly say I have made no effort to confirm or deny this rumor. I seriously doubt that anyone wants Pee Wee Herman to play The Joker in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel when so many very talented people are ready to jump all over the role.

Exactly. Gotham is a crap hole, noob villans are trying to make it even worse. Bruce is pissed and he wants to fix it. And I felt that when I watched it. Batman forever is a candy piece of junk.

You're going into confinment for saftey.
I don't need any safety!
No, for their safety.

Haven't seen the new Superman, but read some reviews which say that it's an homage to the Christoper Reeve Superman movies (well, the first one at least).

But damn, does it really need to be 2.5 hours long? C'mon, it's Superman....bring it in under 1:45 or less.

dsethi said it best. It will be really hard for anyone to replace Jack as the Joker.

But then again, the new direction and new director has really made this new Batman series sweet. It's more realistic. It's "sharper", more stylish. More rugged. Darker.

No cheesy bright yellow batman belts with stupid half funny/half trying to be serious villians like Jim Carey and Arnold Scwarznegger.

"Everybody.....chill".....

wow. bad, cheesy acting.

the new batman is awesome.

spiderman will break a few records.

If you guys like Batman, you MUST read The Dark Knight Returns, written by Frank Miller in the late 80s. Batman comes out of retirement in his 50s. It's dark, brutal, realistic, and very smart, and comic books are always better than movies. Find it and read it.

I had the 1st issue, 1st print like 15 years ago. I sold it for 40$. Really dumb. Out of everything I collected and then got rid of, that is my 1 true regret.

I agree, that was a great read. Terrefic graphic novel.
