I think i like the braves in this spot tomorrow over the Orioles. What does everyone else think? lots of good facts but braves seem to always blow it somehow

The braves are sending out left-handed rookie Chuck James. The Orioles are one of the worst teams verse lefties with a .236 BA. That combined with the Orioles having never faced James since he is only making his 2nd career start might make this a good bet as there is no scouting report on him yet. James pitched 8 innings giving up 1 run in his first start. So ideally he would pitched well into the game to avoid turning the gameover to one of the worst bullpens in the league. Braves being cold and horrible bullpen who cant close games scares me.

Despite blowing the save last time out, I actually like Sosa in the closer role. But, as you say, James is the kind of guy who can work deep in games - he throws as high a percentage of strikes as anyone coming into the big leagues in a long time.
Not only do the Orioles only hit .236 against lefties, they are 1-12 on the road against lefties. I like the play, but Cabrera is capable of being dominant as well, so I'd be cautious. I'm laying off it personally.

You said it at the end. You can't play on the Braves right now. It does not mean the O's are the play but the Braves offense is too weak and the bully is too much in question and if the rook only goes 6 innings that gives the O's plenty of time to lay the wood to em.

Cabrera can easily blank this Braves lineup, so it would be a no play for me.

Right now I think that any of us on the mound might be able to blank the braves

Pele, you had it right initially...The Braves are certainly the play tonight at a relatively cheap price. Chuck James will dominate this lineup. The Under is every bit as good a play (if not better) than the Braves. I see a 4-1 or 4-2 game tonight. The Braves matched the Yankees hit for hit...Francouer and Chipper are starting to warm up...I see the Braves winning tonight to set the tone for July. I am not a Braves fan by the way...no "homer" in this write up. Braves and Under are the play in this game. Good luck!

The Braves were swept in their last home series vs the Jays...need a big blow out win to get their fans excited again.
