</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>According to a report out by the Associated Press, Ex heavyweight contender Peter McNeeley was arrested Thursday on charges that he drove a getaway car in a robbery of a drugstore in Stoughton, Mass.
McNeeley, 37, who lost to Mike Tyson in 1995, is being held without bail until arraignment in Stoughton District Court. Robert Perry, 47, who was charged with the actual armed robbery. McNeeley has been charged by Police with accessory after the fact.
According to Police Spokesperson, Lt. After stealing the fanny pack, Perry then went on to approached the clerk. As he did so, he started demanding money.
Murphy added: "Mr. Perry raised it and pointed it at the clerk ... the gesture of the pointing, it was believed by the clerk to be a weapon."
The store clerk fearing the situation handed the over money, and that is when Perry got into a car driven by McNeely that was waiting in the parking lot.
Police had been informed to be on the look out for the car and pulled over a vehicle driven by McNeeley. McNeely and Perry were placed under arrest by police only after witnesses identified the two men. Police stated they recovered $180 in cash and the stolen fanny pack.
This isn't the first run in with the Law for McNeely. Back In March, McNeeley was arrested for assault on a bar patron in Norwood.
