Making a road trip to see my league leading Tigers battle Pittsburgh.

Has anyone been to the park before? I've heard it's awesome. Anything in the park I should focus on (specific type of food that is a specialty, etc...)?

Do I risk having batteries thrown at me for wearing my Tigers garb, or is that only in Philly (I can deal with minor harrassment and razzing....not that the Pirate fans have much to talk about)?

Pirates fans are pretty docile, you have to go by the center field stands to get a Manny Sanguillen sandwich. The entire park is beautiful, there's a Wagner statue at the home plate entrance and Stargell and Clemente statues at other entrances. They really incorporate downtown Pittsburgh as a backdrop into the stadium beautifully. You will love the park, best in the majors.

And thats why they play the game.

PNC is the nicest park I have been too. Not a bad seat in the house.

Basic ballpark food. But the local sandwich is the Parmanti Sandwich, i recomend trying one of these. They also have a Quaker Steak and Lube wing shop in the stadium, with some good wings.

I would watch out though for the Pirates, they just broke there losing streak and will give the Tigers some trouble as they start a new streak.

No worries about the fans, you'll be ok.

Steeser-

Make sure you park downtown and walk across the Clemente bridge. (cheaper and it is a cool walk)

Have a Pirmantis sandwich.

The fans will be no problem. You could sucker punch one and I doubt you would get a reaction.

Now if it was a Steeler game, I would advise you to take the Michigan plates off of your car, wear neutral colors, and sitting on your hands as the visiting team scores....
