Italy vs Ukraine - Pre-Game/In Game

Well, after an exciting first quarter final game, we move to what I feel will be a one sided affair. Ukraine is not experienced at this level nor do they have the type of style of play or players to maintain possession. Fully expect Italy's stingy defense to throw a shutout while their offense keeps possession and remains far more on attack. Hence,

I like Italy here. Either -1 or take a stab at -0.5. Just think Ukraine is outclassed here.

Italy wins this game 2-0 or better. Austrialia, one of the most physical and well conditioned teams, gave Italy all they could handle, yet Toni missed open shots as Italy won extremely late 1-0. Weren't they a man down as well? Ukraine is a slow moving, poor passing team, that should have trouble with the Italian pace and defense.

Like the pick Ted. I know you've been watching a lot of games. I'll pay the chalk and go with -0.5

Agree with Ukraine being a difficult team to watch on offense. They've been talking up Schevchenko but he has not been impressive.

Yea, everything I've seen makes me think that Italy is going to win this game. Everyone seems to think the same thing too. Last time I saw this, virtually everyone thought Spain would beat France and Zidane stepped up to play a wonderful game. I'm just going to stay with the Italy to advance bet to hedge my Ukraine to win the WC future. Got an uneasy feeling here, GL to you all though.

Not everyone liked Spain. Spain had a history of collapsing in the World Cup. France was definitely an equal going into that match. This one is completely different. Talented Italian team against Cinderella Ukraine with totally different styles of play. I've been surprised before, but don't expect one here. Best of luck today.

Yeah I should have known better with Spain. The inexperience and youth hurt their team. I'm glad to see France do well. Can't wait for the Fra/Braz game tomorrow. :103631605

Ted, I hate to say it but for once your out of your Depth. Yes the crybabies are the better team but their having trouble with their formation and the 4 missing doesnt help. Ukraine just got 3 defenders back and of course, has the best striker in Europe and as I said in another Thread, The Italians know exactly what he can do. The price on Italy is pathetic as all the mugs line up for free money but the wideboys are taking the inflated Ukraine price on betfair. :toast:

Oh yea, should be a beautiful game to watch. Two orchestrators at work in Zidane and Ronaldinho, and two deadly finishers in Henry and Ronaldo. I can't wait for that one, think the key will be how Barthez plays since he is extremely streaky.

Definitely gonna root for Ukraine and the under here...gotta love upsets.

Did you guys hear about the former Italian coach/player(forget) who was in upper management for Juventes who attempted to commit suicide recently? Apparently some players left camp to go visit him.

Not to mention Italy's missing one of their best defenders AND his backup.

Italy is familiar with Shevchenko, though.
