Does anyone set a goal of how much to make a year from sports gambling.

Not really, I just try to be at a + number at the end of every year. I have a regular job so anything I make gambling is more than what I had before.

Great post by Vike, and great thread IMO.

I set a goal per market or sport that I bet. So for bases my goal was to grind out 30 units on valuable underdogs and line movement. I find by comparing to what I made last year and setting a goal for a certain percentage increase I am able to establish goals.

The problem you can run into with setting a goal is getting behind and chasing, which we all no is rule number 1 on things not to do.

It's all a grind by me..day in day out..Just hoping to grind out a profit week by week.

Know what my AVERAGE profit has been over the last 13 or so years doing this professionally and sort of like to at least reach that AVERAGE as I head into a new campaign(year)........at the VERY LEAST.

Anything LESS than that and consider it being an off year.

I don't set goals for a year...more realistic to do it by sport as I don't bet consistently over a year...a majority of my wagering comes from sept-march.
