Looking at the Detroit/Oakland game tonight. The A's come off being swept by the Diamondbacks and are reeling while the Tigers come off winning 2 of 3 from the Pirates but continue their consistent winning ways. Tonight, the Tigers send Nate Robertson to the mound coming off throwing a gem against Houston the night of Roger Clemens return. He went 7 innings, gave up 0 runs and 6 hits, 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. He has a season record of 8-3 (3.15 ERA) including a 4-0 (2.99 ERA) on the road. Meanwhile, the A's send out Joe Blanton coming off a poor outing against San Diego. He went just 4 innings, gave up 5 runs (4 ER), 6 hits, 1 HR, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Was in Walnut Creek 2 weeks ago for my nephews graduation, spent a day in SF and also a day in Napa, I love the Bay area but the traffic wears me out. Weather was great entire 5 days I was there 70-75 every day, came back east before your heat wave hit, back here we have had some very severe flooding. Glad you are well Ted and will likely tail your Detroit play tonight and may even play the Over 8.5 in the same game.
