And man, life felt GREAT. I really had no choice, I was doing some intensive training and did not have computer access. It was amazing how much I could get done when not gambling, and how other things (family, work) mattered more than gambling.

I come back to the regular life, and sure enough, I am immediately pissing away my time and energy on this crack again, and nothing is more important than the "chase." :nopityA:

Thanks buddy, not there yet (knock on wood) but I am "eligible," thus the train up.

Pray for those that are there, though. Those IED's are nasty, hard to detect, and the terrorists are getting very very savy (secondary explosions, dummy traps, increasing sophistication, etc.).

PPeter, my RX Bash Brother, we have missed you. I think George Hamiton summed it up best when he said "It is the chase that excites me most" hang in there and come back to us. You are one of the "Good Guys" LT:toast: :dancefool

I know the feeling. I also had to shut down gambling for 3 weeks approx. 1 1/2 ago, becuase I was studying for my Cisco CCNA Exam. It was either, continue with gambling and fail my exam or take 3 weeks off and pass. I made the right choice, studied for the exam, passed and received a promotion at work.

The chase is the downfall of many and just like a girl you are chasing that slows down just long enough to give you a small taste or peek so it is with sportsbetting where a liitle bit of winning goes a long way in keeping you right in your places and losing.

You just gotta love this buisness.

Operation minded guys like me live a better life and get a little better taste and peek at things but not much more.

Bookies are to busy to get a taste or peek so its always sloopy seconds for them.

Welcome back PP, I didn't know you were still active military, stay safe.

Hey Rail, is Federer and HH gonna take the singles titles?..Fed now at 1/4+ from 1/2..and HH now +1.40 down from 2+/1.

Ancic tough matchup here, last to take down RF on grass, and Clijsters has held her own vs JHH except for Slams.

I have not placed a bet, or played cards , or gambled in any way since March16th, 2006, and while it is hard for me , my family life has never been more stable. I have not gone to sleep with a headache in about 3 months!
