So let me understand this. The Padres who are 20-15 on the road face a Phillies team that is 18-23 at home. Hamels is 1-4 with a 6.49 era in June.
Clay Hensley who is 5-6 with a 4.14 era but who is coming off a big win against the A's is an underdog in Philly. Someone please explain to this line
to me that opened the Phillies as -140 favorite. Do you want to see a nasty home crowd. Wait till Hamels gives up a run or a Phillie strikes out at the plate. The fans have been waiting to pile on the Phillies since the Myers incident and the club is just returning from the horrible road trip.

And so it goes......

The Phillies always give the Padres fits..They swept them here at home last season. For some reason, the Padres don't play as well here in the east.
