I think they have an excellent chance at making the playoffs and with Santana and Liriano it would be very tough for anyone to beat this team in a 7 game series. The only team that may have a shot is the Tigers.

best i see rite now is 33-1...they've got alot of teams to climb over...white sox/tigers, yankees/boston/blue jays...if(big if) they make the playoffs, i'd make them the favs because of their two aces...

I shopped around looking about a week ago. It seems that most shops have been one move ahead of this current win streak. I think 20-1 to win the AL is about the best I saw and I thougt that was about right for a team that was 11 games out.

You do have to hit and they are the worst of the so called AL contenders, offensively speaking.

Seems to be the new hot team to back, actually maybe a team to fade. The public is all over them and they will be an inflated favorite going forward.

Their lineup is more dangerous when Stewart is leading off

it's the depth of the lineups. The Tigers 9th place hitter has 17 HR's.

The only team the Twins have more HR's than is the Royals. Their lineup is far from scary. Alot of holes in it

white sox have best line up in the league, best defense, and best starting pitching...they will win the Central and probably be back in the World Series.

Twins are 30-33 against AL teams. They have a LONG way to go.

white sox pitching is down this year. contreras has been up and down, same with buehrle and vazquez. garland is getting rocked. twins have the best starting staff , relievers, and closer in the al central.

if they are so good why did they get smashed the 1st time they played these teams. They went 3-13 against Detroit and Chicago. One series Detroit beat them 33-1 in total runs, hardly what I would call a playoff caliber team.

Don't tell me their little NL run brought on false hope.

If anything I would be worried about Cleveland, much more talent than Minnestoa

Tigers ERA is and has been the best ERA almost all season. In fact it isn't even close.

Their starters ERA is the best in baseball in over 30 years.

Good luck. They will need ALOT of it.

i still dont buy that rotation, and i think the offense will faulter sooner or later. Liriano and Santana are more of a sure thing, and mauer is best hitter in AL. figure if twins face tigers in 3 game series, automatically win 2 cuz of santana and liriano.

What would you like the Tigers to do, they have had the best record in baseball for over 2 months. They are on pace for 110 wins. Lets just hope Minnestoa can
a) prove they can beat their divisonal rivals
b) win some road games
c) hit alot more HR's than they did in 1st half of the season
d) and most importantly hope that Detroit, Chicago, Boston or New York struggles and from what I have seen I wouldn't bet on it.

depth is where the difference. Pitching and offense. Remember the Tigers and Whit Sox's aren't the Cubs, Pirates, Dodgers and Brewers
